I wonder if I should also include a diorama, or you know a poster or something. How old am I again?
Ha! You and Maidengurl!
Wow. "Nestorian". I haven't heard that term in so long I've forgotten what it is. Well, wikipedia to the rescue, I'm sure.
For you Lulu Eightball fans, Tshirts and hoodies available soon.
Nestorians were sect of christians that ended up getting expelled and labelled as heretical for not believing in the dual humanity/divinity at the same time of Jesus.
Seems like splitting hairs now, but was a big deal then.
I'm two days into a Week of Living Dangerously, and it's making me laugh. How lucky is he that his blind date is such a good sport? I mean, you want all your blind dates to be way cool, but how often does it happen?
Dawn, poor you!
Eh so far it hasn't been bad. Of course we're not to the roof yet. That should be interesting, since everything has to be made out of recycleable material (I think we're looking at cardboard painted terra cotta).
Hi Kat!
I've been feeling quiet lately.
Also? Broccoli? Tofu? In a BURRITO?!!

Having been raised a Catholic, I'd say it would still be a big deal now. What's less of a big deal? Icons. Of course there are other differences between the Orthodox Church and the Roman Church, but that was the biggie and looking at the kind of souvenir stands one sees outside papal visits, it's apparently not anymore a biggie.
TMI alert:
I have just discovered that my digestive system really, really hates soy, as is found in Clif Bars. I spent all of yesterday making the immediate surroundings unendurable for my co-workers, and racked my brains for what sort of legume I had been eating. I finally realized that it had to be the Clif Bar, and that apparently non-fermented soy products are notorious for this. Sigh. Unfortunately, I realized this only after eating a second Clif Bar today. I think I shall retire from decent society.
I just tried to rip the tracks off the Lovesexy album and THEY'RE ALL ONE BIG TRACK. Jaysus.
That was such an awesome surprise bonus when it came up on launch.com one time. Word.
Apparently New Orleans was hit by a tornado last night. My parents are fine, although they lost power during the night. But from where my mother says the tornado was, it came a little close for my comfort.
Good lord, Dana! Glad yours are OK.
You're dangerously close to the Jesse-ian Heresy of "Different people like different stuff."
Hee!
The "overcooked grey food" stereotype was true in the 1950's, and it was true in the US as well.
This was going to be my comment.
My friend just emailed to say that their house was the victim of a drive-by shooting on Saturday, and 3 bullets entered the house, including one into the room where she was putting her two year old to bed. They're renters; they're moving.
Holy crap, I guess so!
I just spent hours sitting at a table at the Student Activities Fair, where no one was really interested in what I was promoting, but I did get free pigs in a blanket, hot chocolate, a tarot reading, and a henna tattoo. Well worth my time.
I'd like to state that the new retractable sharpies are kind of obscene looking. And no, I'm not going to clarify that further.
