I just tried to rip the tracks off the Lovesexy album and THEY'RE ALL ONE BIG TRACK. Jaysus.
That was such an awesome surprise bonus when it came up on launch.com one time. Word.
Apparently New Orleans was hit by a tornado last night. My parents are fine, although they lost power during the night. But from where my mother says the tornado was, it came a little close for my comfort.
Good lord, Dana! Glad yours are OK.
You're dangerously close to the Jesse-ian Heresy of "Different people like different stuff."
Hee!
The "overcooked grey food" stereotype was true in the 1950's, and it was true in the US as well.
This was going to be my comment.
My friend just emailed to say that their house was the victim of a drive-by shooting on Saturday, and 3 bullets entered the house, including one into the room where she was putting her two year old to bed. They're renters; they're moving.
Holy crap, I guess so!
I just spent hours sitting at a table at the Student Activities Fair, where no one was really interested in what I was promoting, but I did get free pigs in a blanket, hot chocolate, a tarot reading, and a henna tattoo. Well worth my time.
I'd like to state that the new retractable sharpies are kind of obscene looking. And no, I'm not going to clarify that further.
I'd say it would still be a big deal now.
Really? Because one of the Big Councils in the 5th century CE seemed to have worked it out to the point where they decided that Jesus was both divine and human at the same time. Also, in my 12 years of catechism, it never seemed to have been called into question. So, in my world of Catholicism, it seemed pretty settled.
Having been raised a Catholic, I'd say it would still be a big deal now. What's less of a big deal? Icons. Of course there are other differences between the Orthodox Church and the Roman Church, but that was the biggie and looking at the kind of souvenir stands one sees outside papal visits, it's apparently not anymore a biggie.
IIRC, the immediate issue that finally split the Catholic and Orthodox churches was whether the Holy Spirit emanates from the Father only, or the Father and the Son. Though it wasn't as important as the cultural and practical differences in driving the split, of course. I'd have put the authority of the Pope above icons in terms of significant differences myself.

Pfah. I'm pissed. OTOH, I've learnt I know almost all the lyrics to almost all the songs on Parade, despite not having heard most of them for about ten years.
I'm willing to marry this week's Dangerous Dressing guy. So far.
Oh, Betsy! No need to retire from decent society. Those inhabiting decent society are decent enough to ignore your unfortunate issues.
I have a major love for those because I lose sharpie caps with more frequency than I'd like to admit.
Also, I love the minisharpies, but not as much as I love the minisharpy highlighters on a key chain.
Office supplies are the bestest!
Oh. I thought you were saying that the Nestorians believed that Christ was merely human until he was resurrected.
Sorry. Never mind. /Emily Litella
You know, when I first saw them, I knew they'd be something a teacher would love. Sure enough, the next time I talked to my mom, she was singing their praises.
Jesse that sounds fun!
ION, can anyone explain why people seem to lose their ability to drive normally in Costco parking lots? I swear every time I go to get gas, it's like demolition derby time.
