How weird. Not weird like the people who think I'm Asian, but still weird.
You're not Asian?!
Sorry, that was hacky.
I'm looking at a Jamaican marriage certificate at work. Under "Condition" the groom is listed as divorced. The appellation for the bride? "Spinster." I also like that the space for profession is labeled "calling." Those crazy Jamaicans!
> Also, I have to wonder why they chose to do such
a gimmicky challenge this late in the game. It seems better suited to earlier in the season.
This was my thought exactly! I was disappointed when I heard what the challenge was. I do think that the designers did really well and that out of this group:
Kara, Daniel
and
Chloe,
anyone of them could have won and made me happy. I think that it was also pretty close for the bottom three and I hope that
Nick pulls himself together
after this! He's been disappointing me.
I love that Tim said that in his blog! I emailed it to all my friends.
I was at a wedding in Italy, at which the groom was publicly announced as "divorziato" and the bride as "nubile." Since she was 40 and they'd been living together for many years, this was especially funny.
Okay, am I the only one who read that as "people who think I'm Aslan?"
I am now giggling madly, imagining a creature with the body of a lion and the head of ita. Or ita with a mane!
Since she was 40 and they'd been living together for many years, this was especially funny.
Does Italy not announce the ever-amusing state of "concubinage" like they do in France?

My mom had that! Canada, 1967. She was 26.
I want to know what the other options are.
I have never been to a French wedding. I see I have missed out.
In the same village, on years they had big field teams of many American college students, they used the primary school as a dorm. The women slept on the second floor, which was of course known as the
piano nubile.
There are rules about what makes a man a man too.
I'm just sad that these rules involve gigantic man-breasts.
Well, and also sad that a whole article about the trend never stops to say, "Oh, by the way, you people who aren't insanely obsessed with the inadequacy of their bodies? Feel free to skip this part."
I mean, even articles about changing one's fat body have the excuse of "obesity is a risk-factor for a zillion illnesses," but AFAIK being slim is a risk-factor only for being able to squeeze into small spaces.
