They should film that story and show it every Christmas.

Apart from sports, "my secret favorite thing on earth is ketchup. I will put ketchup on anything. But it has to be Heinz." - my husband, Michael Vartan

Yay Olivia!! Congratulations! And Happy Birthday!

Thanks, Cashmere and Nilly. Sophie is awesome, even though I had to borrow a dollar from a stranger in order to finish washing her outside. And I had to go to five different hardware stores before I managed to get a new key. And I only got two tires, since they only had three that would fit my car on hand.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I just had to email someone to ask them to click on a link so I could get my email address approved so someone else could get my mail thru the earthlink spam filter. I can't get to the link myself through our web filter.

I'm not mad at the software--I'm mad at the fact the software's actually useful.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Welcome, Olivia Rose!

Alibelle, Franny loved you. Are you available this weekend?

"Mister Spock is on his fanny, sir. Reports heavy damage."

Wow, baby so soon?? Excellent (except in the sleep-dep sense). Olivia is a good name.

It just all feels...so easy to get. Like we're all walking around with skulls of eggshells.

Well, we were not telling all the stories about people who got the everliving crap beaten out of them and were fine (neurologically) the next day. Which does happen all the time --as your kravvy friends are wont to know. It's just, the dramatic ones where somebody almost died are the ones that get written up in the New Yorker.

Watch, tomorrow somebody will assault Jay Leno with an orange, and he won't sustain any brain damage at all! (A run-by fruiting!!)

Beeyotiful humidifier.

My feeling is more prompted by the fact that the two last times I was hit hard on the head they had nothing to do with anything. No big traumatic incident, no third (or second!) parties. One faint, one slip, and I'm a severe concussion and minor black eye bearer.

I watched a guy in my test get whacked in the back of the head with a stick, be too woozy to stand properly for half an hour, resume testing, and wake up the next morning with a mild post-concussive syndrome.

Every time someone's knocked unconscious on TV now makes my eyes spin with the @@.

They do conveniently go out like lights, don't they? And stay out for as long as the plot needs them to, and when they come back to awareness, they stand right up and do heropic things.

None of this woozy crap! No staggering, no confusion! Their brains are made out of titanium!!

And their heads don't hurt!

I hate them all.
