Um, well, we listened to aggressively cheerful music sung by people chosen for their ability to dance. Then we ate cookie dough, and talked about boys.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

I wish I could say "I can't believe that." and mean it.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

I wish I could say "I can't believe that." and mean it.

Well, she DID wear a t-shirt they didn't like...

If I only had a brain...

That's okay, Jesse; I don't get TCM. I'll have to get digital cable to get it. Bastards.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

GG was sort of giddy towards the end there. Fun.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Very fun.

I wish I could just go somewhere to get flensed but none of the whaling ships near me take Medicare.

I wasn't going to watch SotU. I wouldn't have even known it was on today if people here hadn't mentioned it. But I was already listening to KPFA and they moved into it. So I kept it on and turned the TV on for visuals. Predictably, it made me mad. I wish I could have enjoyed quarterbacking the Democrats' response and listening to KPFA's pundits, but my mother then kidnapped me to deal with a general contractor and a guy who'll be handling our networking.

Now I'm cold because even though I have a double-glazed window, there's a draft coming in somehow. And I've hardly accomplished anything because the nice young man who is networking was geeking out at (a little with, but mostly at) me and I was too polite to cut it short.

I'm looking forward to Thursday and Friday when I have no after-work appointments.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

But I also couldn't remember what happened the episode before.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Catching up on posts my first realization was that I had totally forgotten about the SotU address. Oops.
