The seizure of the illegally produced cheese was one of the largest on record:
Authorities seized 600 pounds of "bathtub cheese" from a small ranch in southwest Riverside County last week.
The seizure of the illegally produced cheese was one of the largest on record in California, according to the Department of Food and Agriculture.
The cheese was seized last Saturday by a multiagency task force that included CDFA officers, Ontario police and Riverside and San Bernardino County sheriff's deputies. Also seized were wooden cheese presses, molds and other items used in production. Two men at the ranch were cited for illegal cheese production.
Officials refer to illegally produced cheese as "bathtub cheese" because of the often unsanitary conditions in which it is made.
ok, ew. And who knew bootleg cheese was a big industry?
Time to rethink my plans to go into cheese making as a cottage industry.
I wonder if cottage cheese would be OK?
I wonder if it was raw milk cheese?
I much prefer to read transcripts of the SotU speeches the next day. For one thing, I don't have to see his face or hear his voice. For another, I can read that stuff to myself in a lot less time than it would take to watch the actual broadcast. That way, I get the civic duty thing taken care of with half the stress and no damage to the TV.
I can't bear to watch the SotU. I will do an Elvis. I'm watching Discovery Channel instead.
Maybe MythBusters needs to get hold of some of Dubya's stories.
So not watching the SotU. Instead I'll work a little more and then go home and watch Bleak House or walk the dog.
Yay Tivo and iPod!
