So it sounds like it's a cost-of-living comparison specifically for the upper class. Or something like that.

My baby brother, the one who just got married and is getting ready for the move to NYC, just got a sound engineering job at MSNBC. He sent them his resume two weeks ago, they called him back in less than 48 hours, he had a 4-hour interview last Friday, and they called him this morning with an offer. 25% raise over what he's making now. I am about to explodinate with pride.
