I'm a vision of hotliness, and how weird is that? Mystical comas. You know, if you can stand the horror of a higher power hijacking your mind and body so that it can give birth to itself, I really recommend 'em.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

Kate, gallstones? yoiks and owe. poor you!

GA! It was surprisingly good. I thought the part with Izzie and the teen and the baby was great. I mean, I am big with the Izzie admiration so I thought that she said what I would want to say to a teen even though it is stepping over a line. And, I'm also moved that we don't necessarily know what happened.

The deathwatch part was actually heartbreaking. I'm pretty much a Meredith hater and I was wrecked on her behalf given her mom. Do you think she knows about the affair between the Chief and her mom ?

Cristina having to apologize was so the right thing. and sure I missed Bailey as much if not more than you'd expect, I thought that her replacement was fantastic (and I kept wanting her to sing something from Spam-A-Lot) because okay to be happy cheerleader. It doesn't make you less competent than acting like a Nazi. I think it also showed, to me at least, how close Bailey and Cristina are in terms of temperment and personality, though Bailey has more grit.

The almost fight in the bar between Cristina and the nurse was so freaking great. George was awesome. He continues to grow and be less wishy washy and I was all loving his standing for what he believed. I also adored the scene where Meredith and Izzie crawl in his bed. But does he have new paint or linens or something? his room looked different.

Great episode.

No, probably not.

Christ. Well, I've got a fresh pack of smokes, a charged iPod, and four bars less than a block away, so I have a backup plan in case Monday decides it's fighting a cage match for possession of Tuesday.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

EXACTLY!! I may have to run out and get QTips RIGHT NOW!!

I keep a small container in my desk. I periodically get some moistness in my ears, and I have to get it out RIGHT THEN. I also keep them next to my bed because it sometimes happens when I sleep and if I wake up, I can't get back to sleep until I clean it out. t /ear wax issues

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Ouch, katefate. Sorry about the gallstones.

The hospital I work at has a Gallstone Gallery on the 5th floor (in the lab wing, not anyplace where patients would ever, ever go). The variety (little balls! little 8-sided dice! little dodecahedrons!) is both sickening and fascinating.

Also, I have a weird irrational desire to make the Gallstone Gallery a tour item on the F2F, especially (this is the very irrational part) if tommyrot comes. I don't know why. I'm very ashamed.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Also, I have a weird irrational desire to make the Gallstone Gallery a tour item on the F2F, especially (this is the very irrational part) if tommyrot comes. I don't know why. I'm very ashamed.

Why me?

Although I would be into it. I'd probably take pictures and post them....

Yeah, I'm gonna be at the F2F. I'll probably have to... ( shudder ) fly there....

Gallstone Gallery

This reminds me that I still have the International Museum of Surgical Science on my Places to Go in Chicago list. I've heard it's a fun, if slightly gory, museum to check out.

Punishingly Intricate

Congrats, ita!!! That's so freaking awesome!

Condolences to quester and Jars. My great-aunt died yesterday morning. She was 95 and had been pretty sick for the last month or so, so it wasn't unexpected. But it's still hard. She was a pretty great lady--tough, funny, and generous. She lived down in the Rio Grande valley and I don't think I'll make it to the funeral this weekend but I'm hoping maybe to take a trip down there sometime this year to say goodbye somehow.

In total other news, I've watched Grey's Anatomy sporadically and enjoyed the ep last night but I didn't understand at all why Meredith would be so (what was the emotion even?) annoyed/shocked/whatever that the Chief was visiting her mother.

Why shouldn't he?

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

lisah, so sorry about your great aunt.

Also, I thought it was because she noticed the handholding and air of intimacy, and was suspicious.
