EXACTLY!! I may have to run out and get QTips RIGHT NOW!!
I keep a small container in my desk. I periodically get some moistness in my ears, and I have to get it out RIGHT THEN. I also keep them next to my bed because it sometimes happens when I sleep and if I wake up, I can't get back to sleep until I clean it out.

Gah. Now Playing: Time Machine. That song takes me back. I forgot how much I loved it.
Ouch, katefate. Sorry about the gallstones.
The hospital I work at has a Gallstone Gallery on the 5th floor (in the lab wing, not anyplace where patients would ever, ever go). The variety (little balls! little 8-sided dice! little dodecahedrons!) is both sickening and fascinating.
Also, I have a weird irrational desire to make the Gallstone Gallery a tour item on the F2F, especially (this is the very irrational part) if tommyrot comes. I don't know why. I'm very ashamed.
Did Buffy slay the WB?
Here's defamer's article on the LAT article:

Why me?
Although I would be into it. I'd probably take pictures and post them....
Yeah, I'm gonna be at the F2F. I'll probably have to... (
shudder
) fly there....

This reminds me that I still have the International Museum of Surgical Science on my Places to Go in Chicago list. I've heard it's a fun, if slightly gory, museum to check out.
Congrats, ita!!! That's so freaking awesome!
Condolences to quester and Jars. My great-aunt died yesterday morning. She was 95 and had been pretty sick for the last month or so, so it wasn't unexpected. But it's still hard. She was a pretty great lady--tough, funny, and generous. She lived down in the Rio Grande valley and I don't think I'll make it to the funeral this weekend but I'm hoping maybe to take a trip down there sometime this year to say goodbye somehow.
In total other news, I've watched Grey's Anatomy sporadically and enjoyed the ep last night but I didn't understand at all why Meredith
would be so (what was the emotion even?) annoyed/shocked/whatever that the Chief was visiting her mother.
Why shouldn't he?
lisah, so sorry about your great aunt.
Also, I thought it was because
she noticed the handholding and air of intimacy, and was suspicious.

Oh, that looks like fun too.
So sorry for your loss, lisah.
I would so go on a gallstone tour led by JZ. It is only right that tommyrot be there.
No poor-me (yet) on the gallstones (might feel different at laparoscopy time). I'm pleased to know what the sporadic and thankfully, infrequent pain is about.
I'm amusing myself with a mental picture of shrift fighting a stubborn Monday with a lit cigarette and an Ipod.
Speaking of mental, last week I had a dream about a guy who was a travel agent and a woman who was a disembodied head searching for missing paperwork. My first thought upon waking was "Together, they fight crime!"
