24 last night was fantastic.
I'll be working tonight, so there's not a chance I'll be able to catch hours three and four. I'll see if I can record it, but we've been having VCR problems.

Unruly rider delays Red Line, cops say
An unruly passenger on a Chicago Transit Authority train scuffled with and injured three CTA employees and two Chicago police officers Sunday morning and briefly caused the shutdown of part of the Red Line, police said.
All of the injuries were minor.
Shortly before 9 a.m., Victor Thornton Jr., 18, of the 6600 block of North Ashland Avenue, was approached by three CTA security officers on a southbound Red Line train because he was causing a disturbance, a police spokeswoman said.
Thornton attacked them, leading someone to call police from the train, which was stopped near the 4600 block of North Broadway.
"Upon the officers arriving, the subject disrobed," the spokeswoman said. "He then punches out a train window. And at that point, an officer fires pepper spray that had no effect."
Thornton tried to kick a police sergeant, who then shot him with a stun gun, again to no effect, police said.
Thornton ran out of the back of the train, where he was caught by two police officers, who Thornton assaulted as they arrested him, police said.
Thornton has been charged with two counts of aggravated battery of a police officer, three counts of battery, one count of criminal damage to property and one count of resisting arrest, police said.
The Red Line resumed normal operation at 9:20 a.m., said a CTA spokeswoman.

That's my stop. And yesterday I walked past that station at around 10:00 a.m. - didn't notice anything weird going on....

Uh-oh. Sounds like you've got a demon problem....
Heh.
Chicago needs a slayer....

Do you have any druthers about linking to provocateuse? I'm not going to post a photo, but I would like to do an t a href link in my livejournal to one of your pages (handson.provocateuse.com/show/kiefer_sutherland) Does that hurt your bandwidth, or something, or otherwise go against your preferences?
Gronklies!
God bless aspirin and caffeine, is all I have to say about this AM.
Oh, and also bless not having to work. That would have just been the cherry on the Sundae of discontent.
The guy punched out the window of the train? Good lord.
I burned the top of my mouth on my breakfast -- toast with melted cheese. My life is hard.
I tell people that cheese is bad, but do they ever listen? ::shakes head::
I never liked cats much. Then Mother moved into my barn.
I found this story moving - we always had a bunch of barn cats (that were not allowed in the house). I always loved them, and felt bad that they often had short lives due to accidents with cows, cars, farm machinery, etc....
Before Mother, I was never much drawn to cats. They seemed slithery and remote. I have a farm, and cats didn't appear to be useful.
I am partial to working dogs—especially border collies and Labradors—that can herd sheep, fetch sticks, hike with me, cuddle on the sofa, and swim in nearby streams. I didn't really get having an animal you couldn't herd sheep or take a walk with.
Then the rats came.
Cindy, linking to the page is a-okay.
Cheese is god--you need to treat it with respect, but the rewards are great.
