I want to torture you. I used to love it, and it's been a long time. I mean, the last time I tortured someone, they didn't even have chainsaws.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Nicole found it much faster than I did.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Yay! ita!

This morning I got to ask one of our (maie) partners if he meant the Playtex that sells bras, or the Playtex that sells tampons (turns out they aren't the same company). After that I got to spend 7 hours working on his answer.

I think tonight might be a tequila night.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

it is just a tv, it has now stayed on for almost a full show. Perhaps the demon has left.

Interesante. Did you unplug? Sometimes that would help mine.

That story started out so funny! And quickly turned much less so. Tequila does seem to be in order.

I KNOW!

I'm home now though, which is good.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I met this guy named Del Close

Quite the legend.

I own both How To Speak Hip by Del Close and John Brent (on bootleg CD no less) (the coolest Beatnik exploitation record EVER, and a favorite record of both John Belushi and Brian Wilson) and The Nervous Set a bohemian musical from the early sixties (featuring both Del Close and...Larry Hagman? - album cover by Feiffer) which provided us with two semi-standards for the jazzbo, "Spring Can Really Hang You Up The Most" and "The Ballad Of All the Sad Young Men."

Always Anti-fascist!

I think my dad has it, in his collectible records.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

Okay, it's a friday and we didn't go out. We are just hopping around the networks and landed on In Justice.

Can I say, Jason O'Mara is not especially interesting on the show (and the show isn't especially interesting) until you've heard Jason O'Mara narrate the Nature that was on PBS last week.

And you realize Jason O'Mara is hiding his lovely lovely lovely Irish brogue.

And then you realize, aw, Jason O'Mara, you're adorable.

His voice is fascinating on the show because if you really listen you can hear the brogue coming through.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

Thanks Nicole! Tea steeping, aspirin dissolving.

I just cleaned! Everything except the area between the sofa and the TV is neat.

I don't suppose anyone can tell me what happened in the last five minutes of Ghost Whisperer? The ending got cut off for me. The last thing I got was Melinda with the birthday cupcake. She said she thought it might be fun to go out and celebrate and, then, nothing. Did I miss anything important?
