They've injected long-acting painkillers into my nerves. It remains to be seen how long the effect lasts -- days or weeks. I'm leaning back on it now, and it just feels weird. I may have to lie on my side.
Oprah's just a weird interviewer. She has no structure, and there are way too many reaction shots. However, there's a whole lot of cute onscreen.
And, also, WRT Oprah....Jake is pretty charming. Even if he did knock out Peter Sarsgaard.
The Baltimore school system is....fucked up. There was one super in recent years who is hiding out in Florida now. Or was. Not sure if she got charged or what. Then there was the year the teachers got to vote on whether to take a 10% layoff, 10 day furlough for all staff or...I think it was a pay cut. And someone has been embezzling lately. I think. I'm a little fuzzy on the details. That's not even counting the sorry state of the physical infrastructure.

I finally saw the US Cash Cab -- good fucking times. It makes me want to take cabs more, just in case.

I am good. My job is trying to kill me with the crazy. Did you know 9 out of 10 graduate education department faculty members are completely bonkers? And it's only heightend when going through NCATE accreditation. I did not know this, but I do now. So sad.
The family is good. My folks are turning into traveling machines. I think they are trying to cover all of the Southwest. By the end of this week.
