I just heard a job talk by a candidate for Scholarly Communications Officer that was all about Digital Rights Management technology and how it affects or will affect the academic landscape wrt Fair Use, archivability, and many other things. It was hard to read the room's response on the fellow - I think many people felt he was too tenative and lawerly, and wanted more of an advocate. amych, I wish you had been there so we could eat lunch and talk about it! Or, heck, I wish half of the techy and lawyerly Buffistas had been there, so we could all natter about it.
