Our wings are not tired.

Yeah, I've been hitting the treadmill every day with thoughts of pavement sometime soon. I plop the laptop in the book holder thing and watch downloaded television. Before ya know it 45 minute are done and another episode watched without guilt, because worked out too. Another cool thing are the noise reducing headphones because I can't even hear the treadmill. And now weightless comfy shoes.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

What's the muscle at the top of the thigh called? The one that lifts the leg up? Because I think I pulled it or something. Ouch.

Did anyone else watch Grey's Anatomy? Or is this not the place to discuss it?

Not watching 24 because too many shows already in my life. I've been treadmilling to S1 House.

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

I've discovered that BSG podcasts are exactly the right length for a good workout on the elliptical. (Since I have to use the gym, and don't have a video iPod.) Unfortunately, that only works once a week.

It's almost like you aren't working out at all! Are you running or walking? Or both?

I'm asking because I need to work out again. I've gone to yoga a lot since my parents were here (and while they were here, because let's be honest, I could use it to escape them) and I've been riding my bike. But I neeed something more fat burny/aerobic and I'm thinking about running again.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

My problem is for running I need shoes that will correct my overpronation - if that's how you spell it - and, while it's not an unusual thing at all, no shoes tell you if they're designed for that or not. So I have to go to specific running stores to have someone I trust more than me make the call.

You mean the quad, Zenkitty? I know nothing about it, except my dad ripped his free of the kneecap a few years ago and...yeah, you don't need to hear about that.

Zenkitty, the back is the hamstring and the front is the quadricep.

Brenda, you need motion-control shoes. I've got a pair of New Balances that are designed for that. 825s, I think -- they're very good.

Brenda, this site lets you search their shoes by arch size and running mechanics (including pronation/supination).
