Dude. Chris Penn is dead.
Random and weird. And sad.
Too young, gotta think drugs
Having seen recent pictures, I could also guess heart attack.
It's interesting comparing the situation-room on Commander-In-Chief and West Wing. Have they ever shown a sit-room on 24?
Why aren't sit-rooms lit better? I worry about those important decision makers sitting around in such dark spaces. It's the same way with the CSI labs. You'd think they'd need more light.
definitely some other time.
We will work something out before you head up to Portland.
Absolutely.
I feel like crap for having to cancel. I just really want to get up to Portland to check out areas as soon as possible. And since I actually do like my mom, I would rather lessen my chances of wanting to kill her.
Past the middle of the month, and I have nothing scheduled though.
I'll be out of town until the 19th, but the following weekend works for me. The one after that I'll be in Seattle, but after that, I'm free.

Most do tend toward the wall monitor displays and points of light in an otherwise dark room. It's probably supposed to heighten the tension. On CiC it was a warmer, more general light.
I love Pres. Mac's character trait of nibbling on food every chance she gets.

Maybe it's meant to remind one of a military command center? Like, a warship's CIC?

The TV/movie version, sure. I have no personal experience, but my guess is that most land based military decisions happen under fluorescent light.

Yeah. Unless it's a room with lots of radars and stuff.
It was pretty dark in the War Room in
Dr. Strangelove,
right?

It's just so unflattering. Maybe we should decide who to bomb in candle light. I think our decisions will look much better that way.

I will be a grownup and not commit to anything until after I go see Portland. But there will be visit-age.

Cash, that was my first thought.
