but my guess is that most land based military decisions happen under fluorescent light.
Yeah. Unless it's a room with lots of radars and stuff.
It was pretty dark in the War Room in Dr. Strangelove, right?

but my guess is that most land based military decisions happen under fluorescent light. It's just so unflattering. Maybe we should decide who to bomb in candle light. I think our decisions will look much better that way.
I'll be out of town until the 19th, but the following weekend works for me. The one after that I'll be in Seattle, but after that, I'm free.I will be a grownup and not commit to anything until after I go see Portland. But there will be visit-age.
Having seen recent pictures, I could also guess heart attack.
Cash, that was my first thought.
SWNF seeking chiro, massage therapist and nice person. Who can deal with the "N is for neurotic" part of me. And stop my headaches. Which likely would take care of a great deal of the neurotic all by itself.
Also gay rodeo is hitting Phoenix soon. I am watching TDS and am far more interested in the interview that was shot in front of the Superstition Mountains. Or, really, the mountains. Not caring much about the yapping in front of them.
Reading this post, sort of explains why I should be given adequate pain meds for my headaches and that mixing and matching when I am out of known compounds is making me stupid. In less pain, but stupid.
Cass, I hope managed to beat that headache into submission and get some sleep, after you posted.
Yup. It came out today. I saw it on the Futon Critic. It makes me sad. I enjoyed the first two eps. That's a shame. I missed the first night of The Book of Daniel (that was two hours, right?) but saw the next two episodes. I enjoyed it (not just as a viewer, and I wouldn't normally add this, but I enjoyed it--the religious themes--as a Christian, as did Scott, and my mother). Feh.
They've added Mad Cow to the Giant Microbe plush toys. But it's not a microbe. It's a prion. I see they note that, but still, does no one have any respect for scientific...scientific...scientific stuff?
Dude. Chris Penn is dead.Oh, man. Poor thing.
Cass, I wish you could go to my chiro guy. I wish he could treat other parts of me, he's that good.
For the second day in a row, it's s n o w i n g here. This seems rather cruel.
I just realized I should probably have been more prepared for the phone interview I have in 10 minutes. Whoops. At least I've had coffee?
Good luck with the interview, Jesse!
And, Cass, I hope you feel better soon.
From further back, re: The Closer. I've just started watching it, mostly for J.K. Simmons' bits. (I have a voice thing.) I've liked the two episodes I've seen so far.
Comic book fans might want to catch the Colbert Report repeat if they didn't see it last night. Also, the guest segment with the Washington Post fashion critic was pretty funny.
OK, phew. It wasn't a job I wanted, which was made clear right off the bat, but I wanted to talk to the woman, since she's at a headhunting firm, and I will want a job at some point, so that's good. I had no interest in faking like I really wanted that particular job, especially since it would have involved much bullshitting about my experience in order to make it seem like they would want me for it, anyway.
AND I was able to use the call to get off the phone with an annoying person who had called me a minute earlier. Awesome.
