Perkins, my SF trip just got nuked for the first weekend of Feb. And I am ashamed to say I sort of made the choice.
Portland had evolved into ten days bookended with over 40 hours of driving. So I just stamped my foot down and demanded flights.
Even with people coming over to feed the cats, that long away made me uncomfy and I realized that ten days with my mom, four of them cramped in a car on the freeway and I would be matricidal. So I have to postpone.
Upside? I won't have to be a prison penpal.
No worries, Cass. Maybe some other time.
It's interesting comparing the situation-room on Commander-In-Chief and West Wing. Have they ever shown a sit-room on 24?
Dude. Chris Penn is dead.
Cintra Wilson will be bummed. Plus Sean. Too young, gotta think drugs.

I still feel bad. And definitely some other time. More than just my layovers there next week. From which I shall wave kermit-ly in your direction.
Dude. Chris Penn is dead.
Random and weird. And sad.
Too young, gotta think drugs
Having seen recent pictures, I could also guess heart attack.

Why aren't sit-rooms lit better? I worry about those important decision makers sitting around in such dark spaces. It's the same way with the CSI labs. You'd think they'd need more light.
definitely some other time.
We will work something out before you head up to Portland.
Absolutely.
I feel like crap for having to cancel. I just really want to get up to Portland to check out areas as soon as possible. And since I actually do like my mom, I would rather lessen my chances of wanting to kill her.
Past the middle of the month, and I have nothing scheduled though.
I'll be out of town until the 19th, but the following weekend works for me. The one after that I'll be in Seattle, but after that, I'm free.

Most do tend toward the wall monitor displays and points of light in an otherwise dark room. It's probably supposed to heighten the tension. On CiC it was a warmer, more general light.
I love Pres. Mac's character trait of nibbling on food every chance she gets.
