I tend to use strong flavors in cooking - garlic, strong cheeses, artichokes and so on. And I always buy the $2.99 per bottle off brand of wine to cook with. It is good to have scientific backing for my bad habits.

I am high on painkillers, just not at home. My boss probably wouldn't have given me a hard time, but there is so much to do. I have an event in the middle of Feb, and I need to make sure I have a place to hold it, we had a meeting, I have a class Sat. and only one of the 5 instructors I needed.
The surgery wasn't scheduled, but the dentist sent me to an oral surgeon right away. They put me under general, and when we were leaving I called work to tell them I would take a nap and go visit venues and be in later- I heard this 2nd hand this morning. Apparently my boss asked to talk to Mr. Jane and told him to make sure I went home.
