Now you are just an evil bitch taking that away from your child and saying it is missing.
BWAH!
We think it's lost somewhere in the depths of my minivan.

Then she called me an angry bitch.Did she at least spell it right?
Is that what it costs in CA? I know people who have done it for far less. Plus the paragraph after the chart makes it look like they're trying to scare people out of it.
Snerk
I'm in an end of week state. Haven't done crap in the house all week and it shows. And I have dinner guests arriving in an hour. So instead of making soup I am grossing out Bitches. Really it was the easiest thing I've managed to accomplish this week.
So I told her, "Learn to spell."
Yay! This makes you a Bitch in my book, not a bitch.
I have to file in CT (shorter waiting period, plus that's where we both lived until 6 months ago), but I somehow have to do it from here. I'm so stressed that I feel like I'm going to snap in two. I tried to get the do-it-yourself thing, but there's a lot of debt and a lot of assets involved and I don't know if I can do it by myself.
Did she at least spell it right?
Yes, she did.
Someone please tell me that I can find a way to afford this: [link]The more you work out beforehand, the less it costs.
In a perfect world, you want to have figured these things out and then have the mediators fill out all of the paperwork and file it. Which it huge because the paperwork is a nightmare.
But the costs are minimized greatly if the mediators aren't working for hours and hours and months trying to get you both to come to an agreement.
There will be things that need to be mediated obviously, but the more you agree on beforehand, the easier. In more ways than money.
Thanks, Cass. I think we'll be pretty much in agreement over everything; we just can't handle all the paperwork ourselves.
ETA: Well, not everything, but enough. I will be taking the major financial hit in this, but then again I'm the one that left.
Yes, she did. It's a start? Okay, not a nice one, but a start...
Now the original mean poster has come back and made a lame-ass apology.
