Xander: I still don't get why we came here to get info about a killer snot monster. Giles: Because it's a killer snot monster from outer space. I did not say that.

'Never Leave Me'

Spike's Bitches 28: For the Safety of Puppies...and Christmas!

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

Pretty much what Cass said, but even with lawyers, I've not seen it cost that much. In the thousands, maybe, but tens of thousands, uhm, no.

Our wings are not tired.

Someone please tell me that I can find a way to afford this: [link]

I did the DIY method. It wasn't quick. I wasn't willing to spend money for lawyers. I wrote up everything the way I thought made sense, sent it to him, etc. As Cass said, the more you can do yourself the better.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

I think we'll be pretty much in agreement over everything; we just can't handle all the paperwork ourselves.
No, you really can't. Mine was far less complicated and there was just no way.

If you are not fighting things, the mediation costs won't be scary high. And you want the divorce, so you pay and move on. It's cheaper, by far, than lawyers or making a mistake on your own.

The status is NOT quo.

Thanks. I contacted a local mediator who also has practiced in CT. We'll see where that leads.

My aunt does mediation and family law. The bills can be outrageous. People would rather give the money to an attorney than work something out with their ex-spouse. It gets really ugly and can last trhough years of court battles and billings. Lawyers bill hourly and $250 is actually a low rate. You can get to $10K in 40 hours that way.

I hope the mediator you contacted can help you, K.

All is well that ends in pizza.

Maybe someone was going to use it for a leg wound, and dropped it, and had to get a new one out before they drove to the hospital and therefore did not have time to pick up the dropped one, lest they bleed everywhere, and then they got to the hospital and had stitches, and the surgeon said "Good thing you thought of that, it was sterile enough to prevent outside contamination."

But then I may just be projecting my own experiences on the situatiuon.

Why they always gotta break out the ASS CAPS?

Because it's on the list of escalating internet flaming, a couple of points before invoking the Nazi clause.

Her initial post was all in ASSCAPS, too.
