Despite everything, I love a lot of these characters. As ass-pully and eye-rolly as it can get (and despite a few episodes where I was really firmly quitting now, I swear it, cold turkey, man, no more), this show always manages to throw some kind of curveball that hooks again. I like the idea of them flashing *back* to the island next season, because why not?

Also, I think with a commitment for three more short seasons, the writers can really plan how to wrap up everything, and leave themselves one open door to continue through if the show goes longer than that. So I'm hoping we can get some resolution for all the various questions (although I feel like I need to make a chart to keep track of which ones have been answered already, somewhat or completely, because my brain = a rusty sieve lately).

Something I saw in another forum, and have no real idea about its significance because I kinda stopped watching the show, but thought it might be of interest.

The text of the newspaper clipping:

Ted Worden, a doorman at the Tower Lofts complex, heard loud noises coming from the victim's loft. Concerned for tenants' safety, he entered the loft and found the body hanging from a beam in the living room. According to Jaime Ortiz, a police spokesman, the incident was deemed a suicide after medical tests. Lantham (sic) is survived by one teenaged son. Memorial services will be held at the Hoffs-Drawlar Funeral Home tomorrow evening."

I've been thinking about it some more, and the flash forwards are pretty vague -- vague enough they can fit characters and events to explain things.

Dunno if anybody picked up on this, but Ben's X-Rays earlier this season were dated 2005. But they're supposed to be 2004. I'm pretty sure that was a production error.

No idea how involved with Lost JJ still is, but I suspect some of the madder shit comes from him. He loves his WTF moments.
