So, if it were very rainy and windy here in the morning, and when I got to the university, despite an umbrella, my shoes, socks and skirt were all soaking wet and still not dry now, late afternoon, but I couldn't go home to change because I had to be here all day, in a lecture and a meeting - if all that were true, I could just go home early and change my clothes and dry my feet and not go back to the university but make some soup instead, right?
Sophia, the bartender.
yes, Nilly, soup for you. go home, get dry.
Thank you, msbelle
Thanks, msbelle. I will. And my wet inside-out shoes will make a splotchy-squishy sound with each merry step home.
[Edit: heh, a "thanks, msbelle" x-post. You sure started your week doing nice things!]
Have better Mondays, everybody!

That's clearly the Right Thing To Do. I mean, seriously.
Oh! I have a dilemma. I have a pass for a free screening of Rent tonight. Awesome, right? Except, the screening is at 6pm and I work until 5. The last time I went to go to one of these things, it was a movie that I had never heard of and didn't even look that good, and getting there 45 minutes ahead of time meant I was too late to get in. So the odds I'd even get in are slim. And I still have a paper to write and an apartment to clean by tomorrow evening.
I guess I don't really have a dilemma and should just give the pass away.
The last time I came into work wet, I was sick before the end of the day.
Grr... A user just emailed me a request, and then walked over to my cube to ask me if I did it, and he got here before the email arrived.

Last week we were 45 minutes early for our Rent screening and a whole bunch of people didn't get in. There was a lot of press. t fish-eyes phone bone
