Zoe: I thought you wanted to spend more time off-ship this visit. Wash: Out there is seems like it's all fancy parties. I like our party better. The dress code is easier and I know all the steps.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Hey, peeps. I need help finding something on the Internets.

Specifically, a source other than Sunmaid's bulk order for Muscat raisins.

I would like to take this time to bitch about the narrowing of raisin selection in the baking aisles over the last several years. I want my freaking Muscats, people!

Not just selection, but quality. It seems like a total crapshoot whether you get decent fruit or dried up husks.

Lisa Lisa and Cult Jam with Full FOrce!

I'm all cried out!

My official work hours are 7:16-3:24 (seriously. that's how it's listed.)

That's freaky. I did have one job that was, like, 9:30 to 6:45 but that was the weirdest I have experienced.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Plei, it looks like this place may have Muscat raisins. Another raisin industry website referred to it as a grower that offers bags o' Muscats; on the other hand, I don't see anything specifically on its own website saying as much; on the other other hand, there's a toll-free number so you could at least call on their dime and get a definitive answer.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Anyone else just get earwormed with "Muscat Love"? Just me, then.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

I tried Zingermans for your muscats-- cuz if anyone had them, they would. They did not.

HOWEVER, I would like to announce that if I save anyone's life, or if anyone here has HUGE crush on me and would like to entice me to dump that Bob Bob joker, or just got their inheritance and is feeling flush, I would like this: [link]

information libertarian

I work 7:30-5 three days and 7:30-2:30 2 days a week. Because I have a nice boss and we can keep the kid in day care less that way. But I can get out of bed at 7:10 and be at work on time if I want to, and also nobody comes in as early as me so nobody knows if I am late (as long as I'm in by 8).

I heard an interesting talk by Paula Kamen this afternoon on chronic pain and feminism. Her book might be of interest to many among us (migraineurs, autoimmune, and their friends): [link]

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Silence means security silence means approval

For future trivia use:

Rosa Parks is not the first African American to lie in state under the US Capitol rotunda. That honor goes to Jacob Chestnut, a Capitol police officer killed in the line of duty in 1998.

Parks is, however, the first woman to lie in state.
