It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

I tried Zingermans for your muscats-- cuz if anyone had them, they would. They did not.

HOWEVER, I would like to announce that if I save anyone's life, or if anyone here has HUGE crush on me and would like to entice me to dump that Bob Bob joker, or just got their inheritance and is feeling flush, I would like this: [link]

information libertarian

I work 7:30-5 three days and 7:30-2:30 2 days a week. Because I have a nice boss and we can keep the kid in day care less that way. But I can get out of bed at 7:10 and be at work on time if I want to, and also nobody comes in as early as me so nobody knows if I am late (as long as I'm in by 8).

I heard an interesting talk by Paula Kamen this afternoon on chronic pain and feminism. Her book might be of interest to many among us (migraineurs, autoimmune, and their friends): [link]

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

For future trivia use:

Rosa Parks is not the first African American to lie in state under the US Capitol rotunda. That honor goes to Jacob Chestnut, a Capitol police officer killed in the line of duty in 1998.

Parks is, however, the first woman to lie in state.

Yup.

Wow. That took longer than I would've expected, though I'm not sure who I would've expected to be the first, given that we haven't had a woman POTUS, both women in SCOTUS are still alive, etc.

What does it mean to "lie in state"?

Wikipedia really does have everything: [link]

Lying in state is a term used to describe the tradition in which a coffin is placed on view to allow the public at large to pay their respects to the deceased. It traditionally takes place in the principal government building of a country.
