move out and draw fire

Cheerios, as I'm the only one awake.

The eclipse is about halfway now - I feel like doing a watch-and-post about it, except I don't think Nilly or Fay are around.

It always surprises me how dark and cold it gets with even just a teensy bit of the sun occluded.

Mallory doesn't seem impressed.

Not the only one. But I'm considering trying to go back to bed since the boy is still asleep.

A sound plan. Pregnancy discomfort?

Yup. Stuffy head, back and belly. I'm buying a long pillow today. My discomfort quotient is directly related to having spent part of the weekend at a Westin Hotel in one of their beds. *sigh* I need one of those for home.

I loved mine for pregnancy. I mean, I love it anyway, but it was WONDERFUL, especially from 5 months and on.

I still spent a few nights in the papasan, but the difficulty there was in not being able to extricate myself.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Timelies! I'm psyching myself up to throw on clothes and go out and move my car to a parking space that doesn't need a permit. Though I feel doomed, since it's possible that a 'meter maid' may have made a sweep through my neighborhood at some ghastly hour.

Our wings are not tired.

President Bush has chosen White House counsel Harriet Miers as his nominee for the Supreme Court to replace retiring Justice Sandra Day O'Connor, CNN has learned. Miers, who has never been a judge, has been leading the White House effort to help Bush choose nominees to the Supreme Court.

I have no words.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

So Bush once again chooses loyalty over competency? Good Lord, that man has a thick skull.

information libertarian

Dick Cheney II - Electric boogaloo. I mean, I really don't think it's that smart to pick the person in charge of the search committee for the job. So much for the CEO president.

It's exactly Dick Cheney II.

In happier news, my car didn't get an overnight ticket, and I was able to move it to a non-permit space. Take that, The Man!
