Anyone catch Viggo on The Daily Show last night? Given past experience, I was expecting a big politcal discussion/diatribe, and instead we get Viggo pulling rubber (or foam or whatever) snakes/lizards/frogs out of his coffee mug ? Bwah! I'm still trying to figure out if they were alread in there, or if he snuck them into the mug himself. Jon looked suprised enough that it might not have been planned. Also, how cute is it that Stephen Colbert is a big old Tolkien geek?

Gronk. I hear this sleep thing all the kids are doing these days is great. Wish I could try it out.

It's also disconcerting to find there's only been 9 Natter posts since the final time I attempted to go to bed, though it looks like it was a really slow night and not just me being an insomniac.

For some reason I was really surprised when my alarm went off this morning. Sure, it's never a wonderful thing, but something convinced me this morning that it was even less right than before. I expect the universe to compensate me sometime today for having this happen. Because life is fair, right?

@@ to infinity and beyond. Whatev. There's this thing known as "honing your craft" and "taking on new challenges", Gwynnie. And an Oscar is not the pinnacle of success- it's a very good marker of success, but not IT. If it were, Scorcese would have had to kill himself by now.

Today is moving day. I am not. So I'm going to sit at my desk as strangers wander in and out and cart off 75% of the furniture in my office. I'm going to have to get out of the way for some of it.
