But, I wasn't going to deal with this till tomorrow. I don't know what to do.
Can you put off responding until tomorrow?

VW, how much, if anything, does he know about your situation? Can you write him a brief note now, and a more thorough one later, when you're more able to deal?
With our email exchanges, I expected to see you in class for your presentation. Time was set aside, and the class was expecting to hear your insights on the topic of your choice. As far as I know, you did not contact the Honors office, and I have received no email before or after class from you explaining the absence.
I understand that emergencies do arise, and that you have been experiencing unusual numbers of migraines. However, in most cases, it should still be possible to call the honors office or send a short email to me, copying [Honors Coordinator]. If nothing else, a notification even without explanation would be a courtesy to the class, allowing us to change the agenda to adapt to the circumstances.
That's the e-mail. Well, then there's some stuff about the attachments he sent me...So, it doesn't sound like he's kicking me out or completely failing me, but he's upset.
Dear Professor,
I am truly sorry I was unable to attend class. I am currently dealing with a medical emergency, and will be in touch to discuss my options with regard to the class as soon as possible.
Thank you for your understanding in this matter, vw, the bug that can and does
He knows nothing about the situation. And I wasn't going to tell him until I decided whether or not I was styaing in the class. My therapist and I are talking about that tomorrow morning. Which, is why this was going to wait till tomorrow.
VW, Sparky's note looks good.
Yeah, I like that. I think I'll send him that, and that way I can still deal with it tomorrow.
VW, Sparky's note looks good.
If I was a professor it would work for me I think.
You just remember that getting yourself taken care of is more important than trying to manage any anger he might have.
You could also add a line acknowledging your mistake in not calling the office without going into any more of an explanation about why you didn't call.
Ok...it's bad. He's upset...rightfully so. I just...I just couldn't deal with it then. It was too big.Okay, what you posted of what he said later on, doesn't read as upset to me as it probably reads to you. He's letting you know the expectations. That's fair enough.
I feel like I need to respond, and soon. But, I wasn't going to deal with this till tomorrow. I don't know what to do.
What will make you feel better? Here are some of what I can see for your choices:
I was absent due to illness. I'm still working on it with my healthcare provider. I am sorry I let you down. Thank you for clarifying your expectations. I hope to address this with you further, when I'm feeling better.
