Heh. Not quite, but he was distraught when they traded him away.
I liked Byrnes. Balls-out fielder.
Obviously there's a hairdo influence. Though all the A's are fairly shaggy this year.
Vs. the M's, who are fairly crappy. Except King Felix.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I just cooked dinner for myself and did all the dishes afterwards for the 3rd day in a row.
I am prouder of this than I should be, but it really has been a very long time.
Perkins is my new hero.
Last post, really.
Perkins should be proud. I don't know when I have managed that feat.
I had a friend who justified her fondness for Chef Boyardee products by contending that they were an entirely separate class of food from actual pasta. It makes a certain amount of sense to me, because I like canned asparagus and I like fresh asparagus, but I think of them as entirely different things.
I just learned that my cousin-by-marriage from New Orleans is going to be relocated to Atlanta for a while. She works for the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, which is relocating its operations to its Atlanta branch. (The main campus is under water.) The school is finding places for the staff to live, so she may be in a dorm or may be staying with someone. She's very nice, but I'm not a good enough person to ask her to stay with me for an extended period of time. I work at home. I work odd hours. I'm selfish. I will make a point to get together with her and do stuff.
I feel guilty.
I liked Byrnes. Balls-out fielder.
We liked him too, though as any regular A's fan can tell you he had to go balls out in the field so much because he was utterly clueless out there and took the most insane meandering routes to the ball.
I can't stand the smell and won't make it for him.Exactly! It's got a ... distinctive smell. We hateses it.
I still like Beefaroni. Yeah, I know it's crazy.t rips off "what scrappy said" shirt
Darn tooting that is crazy.
Hee. I knew people here would understand.
Mr. Jensen has oh so kindly informed me that I was mistaken about my early 80s pop icon information. He was quoting a song done by Bonnie Tyler. Which Air Supply only covered. And which was written by the guy who wrote Meatloaf's stuff. Which song he [Daniel] wishes now to hear sung by Meatloaf. I'm fairly certain a jury of my peers would not convict me....
One of my favorite comfort foods is Chef Boyardee Ravioli. Heated a tad too long in the microwave so some of the sauce sticks to the sides of the bowl. YUM! Very rare indulgence, however. Once every six months or so.
I feel guilty.
Ginger, if she were your sister, I'd say the guilt was necessary. A cousin-by-marriage? NSM. A few lunches, a gift card to Target and maybe a tour of the area and you're golden.
I didn't think Emmett could change so much from a year ago. Wow. The shaggy looks good on him.
