I think Freddy Quimby should walk out of here a free hotel

Thanks IANRAS! Actually, you can download the songs if you change the .m3u to .mp3.

You're welcome. Though that latter part, I don't know how to do that. Luckily, I have the album.

we are playing original songs about Myrna Loy, Benny Profane from Pynchon's V., and lit-crit buzzwords.

aka "The artist formerly known as Corwood Industries."

Yo, Kansian! You are now officially my emusic friend. Signed, haydenchilds. I just clicked on "neighbors" and there you were.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

Though that latter part, I don't know how to do that.

Right click on the link, choose "copy link location" or "copy shortcut" or whatever, paste the link into your browser address window, and change the end of the link address from .m3u to .mp3.

with a gleam in my eye, and an almost airtight alibi

How sad is it that I have to discover our Angus has returned to blogging from Alex Ross? (No, not that one, the other one.)

Yo, haydenchilds! Glad to be your official friend! Emusic is so weird. You can't search for people by username, and you don't come up in my neighbor or friends list. I have never understood that aspect of their service because it seems like there is a social aspect of the site they kind of want to have but really don't facilitate.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

have also added tina as a friend, because she showed up in my "neighbors" - corwood, what are some of the last things you downloaded. I think I can find you that way and add you too.

Dammit - I can't find either of you.

Two Emusic things worth pointing out: Emusic is offering a free 16-track sampler from all the members of Undertow Orchestra. Won't cost you a thing through March 1.

Many times in this thread I have mentioned my favorite band from Lawrence: Drakkar Sauna. They finally have a 3 song EP available at Emusic. Hopefully, their two full length albums - which are both excellent - will be added soon.

"When I look at people that I would like to feel have been a mentor or an inspiring kind of archetype of what I'd love to see my career eventually be mentioned as a footnote for in the same paragraph, it would be, like, Bowie." ~Trent Reznor

I've been seeing fliers up for a show they're doing soon. Will have to look into this.

I put two songs up at buffistarawk by Drakkar Sauna. Both are from their second album and are not available on Emusic as of now.

Emusic categorizes them as "Contemporary Folk" but I am not sure that is quite right. But neither is bluegrass or anything else I can think of really.

I've been seeing fliers up for a show they're doing soon.

I've seen them about a dozen times and each time was good for different reasons. Even when they were making the transition from a three-piece to a two-piece and were just terrible. They remind me of the Mountain Goats in this way actually - what they are doing is just very smart and interesting.
