Also, Rob's posted his pilot commentary already. It's for the director's cut of the pilot on the DVD, which restores the original opening scene (the aired version just started with the credits). You can see the opening scene on his website; I think it's still there. It's good stuff.

Ausiello: Yes, he discussed Charisma and yes, I think we can assume from his comments that the rumored hatchet has been buried. This is what he said when I asked him why he thinks Charisma keeps getting cast as bitchy sexpots: "She looks the part, let's face it. She's a stunner, she's voluptuous, she's got that sort of air about her. But she's not that person at all… I mean, Cordelia was that person until we said, 'Let's see the other side.' She can just sort of take that and hit it out of the park, and then if you need to get in deeper, there's more there. Well, my VM dvds arrived and they're in that completely annoying format in which you constantly have to touch all the dvds to take one out -- you know like the Lost dvds. And you really have to bend the dvds to get them out as well. I suppose all the new WB dvd sets are going to be like this.

Good episode. Dick Sr. fleeing the scene and the reveal of the stunt-guy were both well-done, although I think there'll be more to the latter than some hero-worshipper-with-a-grudge. And both Duncan/Logan and Veronica/Logan confrontations were great.

Uh-oh. Alicia with a dark past? Can't one decent mother figure on the show remain untainted?

It's like he's got Mom issues instead of Joss' dad issues.

And, random note: if you were an employee somewhere and your boss started running through going "Shred everything!" what would you do? Because my first instinct would be to run away, not to start shredding anything. Unless I knew shit, at which point it might be to go meet the cops and offer to plea for a reduced sentence...
