I still dont' understand the attraction of Duncan. He just isn't hot, or fun, or anything! Why would she want to be with him?
Yeah, that's where I am, too. He's not cute and he can't quip. Logan is and can. The whole psycho-teenage-alcoholic thing only loses him a few points.
I wasn't overwhelmed by the premiere, but I like the mystery, and I'm more sick of Lost, so ... I'll keep watching.

Teenage relationships are a mystery. I think she feels comfort and familiarity with him, and it means a lot to her that he loves her.
Duncan is the old Veronica, the one before the murder, the one who was safe and contented and popular.
Also Duncan is what she couldn't have all that year. And, frankly, he's not a preening cock like Logan and is unlikely to flip out and kill people. Edgy, dark, untrustworthy boys are likely to be less attractive when you've just come through a year of lies, betrayal, violence and danger.
and is unlikely to flip out and kill people.
Except for the part where, unless he takes his meds, he gets all rage-blackout-y. So maybe *less* likely to flip out like a mammal, but just let him forget his meds, and -- boom. Violent nutjob.
Well, yeah, you've got me there, but he's less likely to forget to take his meds than Logan is to start a gang war with one of Veronica's mates.
Veronica doesn't have much luck with boys, huh? On top of Logan and Duncan, there is Leo with the rather skeevy cop/teenager thing and Troy the lying drug-dealer. If I didn't love the platonic relationship between Veronica and Wallace so much, I'd be all, "go Wallace, choose Wallace". Except now, they're like step-siblings so, no. Not so much.
I'll tell you one thing: it is a whole lot less awkward for Veronica to kiss Duncan given Duncan is shorter than Logan. I didn't cringe when they kissed.
That said, I couldn't really give a shit about the 'ships.
Cindy, I meant to post that I was young and out of the loop earlier, only I got distracted and had to go to work.
I don't think Logan is hot myself, but different strokes and all that. He has the bad boy thing going on in spades, but I think that works against him in the long run. Plus, I don't blame Veronica for not wanting to be his only sane anchor. She's already had to deal with her mother and how that backfired, and at least mom doesn't seem to have seething rage just under the surface.
I'm wondering if Meg will now haunt her like Lilly did. I was surprised to see Lilly's ghost come back into the storyline.
I missed the first 20 minutes because I was still at work (arg!), I think I picked up everything except who was at that door. I know she hooked up with Logan over the summer, dumped him, and re-hooked with Duncan. I'm just fuzzy as to when the door scene was because if it was right after the scene with Aaron, wasn't Logan getting beat up?
Side note: I love Keith Mars. That is all.
