What is even happening?

Actually, I thought it held together much better on rewatch and I would so not trust anything Madison said.

sumi, I wouldn't either, except don't you think Madison's claims fit with Logan's confession and Madison's appearance in the episode? I don't know -- it just seems unlikely to me that Madison would come to the suite looking for Dick Casablancas at this point. She's been over him for quite some time.

What doesn't quite fit is what happened in the previous episode. Last week, it seemed as if Logan had been in full mope-mode until Dick dragged him to the beach. Beach-girl was also pretty awful (remember, right after they finished up, she was going on about not being able to believe she hooked up with Aaron Echolls' son), so Logan could have been referring to her, in his confession to V, I guess.

I hope Logan was with Madison. If this is all just a misdirection to drive Veronica crazy, and the only girl Logan hooked up with is the girl from the beach, I'm less interested.

I thought the episode was good. I was just really shocked that they'd write Veronica as so impetuous that she would blackmail a judge for a petty case. I want Veronica Mars to be smarter than that.

I can't figure out the murder. I can't imagine the Lilith House girls have anything to do with it. I feel like we didn't really get a positive clue, this week, except for whatever that was about the Volvo vs. the mini-van.

I'm so over Logan and Veronica at this point. Unless LOGAN is tied up in the Dean's death, I'm not getting the point of all this romanticangst roundy round.

bribe

You keep saying that word. I don't think it means what you think it means.

Sorry, duh, I didn't mean bribe. Thanks Frank. Extort money from.

Art Crawl!!!

Well, I should say that the episode held up except for Veronica blackmailing the judge and Keith being stupid.

When Veronica blackmailed the judge I was hoping for the patented VM twist at the end and it didn't happen.

(Yes, last night was "The Dark Ages" - what a fun episode.)

Of course, the fact that you and victor made the same mistake only validates certain suspicions. Or they would if I wasn't your sock puppet. :)

Socks can be lost in the wash, Frank, I'm just sayin'.

Besides, I blame victor. I switched to half-caf within the last couple of weeks, saw the word in his post, and it stuck.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

The ongoing watch-and-post rewatch of Buffy and Angel

Right! Forgot about that.

I do believe in killing the messenger, you know why? Because it sends a message. ~ Damon Salvatore

i'm just so completely meh about what we're being given this season (and much of last). sure, there are funny one-liners, but if i were to tune into this show for the first time this season i just would not care about these characters.

they are KILLING me with how they've castrated Logan. i'm very tempted to do a season one rewatch just so i can see some of his amazing snark. JD made a good point in a recent interview that before he was sort of the "comic relief" when it came to the male leads. he was paired with Duncan, who was most certainly the more serious of the two and now he's paired with Dick and since someone has to be the "serious" one it's up to his character. i hate it. if i had to choose between watching Dick be a dick or Logan being a snarky OPJ i'd choose Logan every. single. time. i have a feeling most of fandom feels the same way. JUST SAY NO TO EMO LOGAN!

i'm sick of the way Veronica and Keith are being written too, but i'm really finding it difficult to even care at this point.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

I agree with you, tiggy. I put on a happier face, probably, but I agree with you.

About Logan and Veronica/Keith, I mean. Not general meh. Though I was glad to see some of the old Logan back last night. "Well, as long as we're paying her..."

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I really enjoyed this episode. The Veronica/Logan banter in the beginning seemed forced, but otherwise I liked their scenes more than I have in a long time. Other than the judge blackmailing thing, which seemed much more stupid than I expect Veronica to be (come on, girl, send someone else to collect the money - didn't you see Get Shorty? - and why are you trusting that the info fed to you by the chick who just ripped off your client to be accurate, anyway?), I enjoyed the Wendy storyline. I hope there is some payoff to the picture of Max's friends in Mac and Parker's room - I can't figure out when that could have happened or why. I just assumed Madison lied, that she saw a chance to sow some discord and tossed it out there. She didn't seem to flirt with Logan at all when she showed up at the hotel (which is what I expected after V opened the door).

I'm only vaguely interested in the Dean O'Dell mystery so far. I don't have any idea who killed him but I'm not terribly curious about who did. I think it's because none of the clues have pointed anywhere unexpected, yet.
