This is not funny. This... this is a morality tale about the evils of sake.

Hey. New board.

I can't buy that there was only one fake rape. Claire, Nish, and Fern all looked too guilty at Veronica's assertion that they faked more. They would have protested if it was only one, I'd think.

The evil is this way?

But if the rapist raped Chip, why the Roman-numeral date? Unless the rapist is what's her name (Petrelli?) who's gotten out of the mental hospital or whatever. Which would be...pulling something out of RT's ass, basically.

Maybe the rapist was trying to avert suspicion from himself?

So the rapist knew about Patrice? Or figured it out because he hadn't raped Claire? I dunno. Unless the rapist wanted someone to figure out that Claire's rape wasn't his. I just don't think that would be his method.

At this point I am assuming that Claire's assault was the only faked one.

What is even happening?

Do any of the secondary/tertiary characters share the last name Petrelli with Patrice? Maybe a brother or sister who was a part of the prison experiment?

Well, perhaps she has a politician brother who can fly...;)

I do believe in killing the messenger, you know why? Because it sends a message. ~ Damon Salvatore

Patrice's last name is actually spelled Pitrelli according to the newspaper article V was reading.

something occurred to me the other day. remember how in Rapes of Graff Chip had 300 points for the Pi Sigs "sex quest" for nailing the Dean's wife? i'm betting said Dean is Dean O'Dell and i'm also beginning to wonder if she* isn't somehow involved in all of this.

*she being the Dean's wife, in case that wasn't clear.

To understand what happened at the diner, we shall use Mr. Papaya! This is upsetting because he's the friendliest of fruits.

I had totally forgotten about that. Although it also lends some credence to my Dean O'Dell theory. Although the Keister Egg seems to point in a different direction -- unless of course there's a connection there we haven't seen.

There's only one thing bothering me: Mercer's alibi. I'm pretty sure his show ran 'til 11, and Parker was raped around 11:45, right? Are we just taking this as a continuity error?

Yeah, it's gotta be a continuity error, because a lot of people have gone back and checked and it's "Club Flush" playing on the radio when Veronica comes in on them.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

That opening reminded me of the potential Slayers getting chased down and killed.

Also, I still don't like the opening credits.

Because books.

Dean O'Dell is quite the character. Or maybe it's just that Ed Begley Jr. is playing him. I watched a lot of St. Elsewhere back in the day.

I may be the schmoopiest schmoopette ever, but I haven't shipped this hard in maybe, well, ever. I really want to see Logan and Veronica stay together. In an epic way, even.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I don't like the Dean sending Keith out of town. Seems a bit suspicious to me. (I can't really back up a full "The Dean is the rapist" theory, but this seems a bit too convenient.)

Man, Rob Thomas sure NAILED the characterization of the egg-throwing, physically violent feminists. All 1 dimensions.
