when you've got the questions in advance, but not the answers, you're just as likely to still get answers wrong, to have to struggle through parts, etc. etc
Just as likely? Give me my book and extra time outside of exam hall stress and I think I can change those odds. Otherwise everything would be open book take home.
I don't know how I feel about this episode, but it made me feel like I needed to shower. Veronica was so nasty. I know the whole "Neptune is corrupt" and "Veronica is flawed" thing, but this was like the counselling eavesdropping in S1. Weevil's comment about how many friends she has was right on point.
Nutty, Wallace went back and bought the answers.
What did Veronica do that struck you as nasty, ita? Was it her big assumptions about Weevil?
I think Wallace's friend (and teammate, right?) set him up, and that's how the prof knew so quickly.
I don't get this at all. What's the motive? Also, it seems overly convoluted (though that's never stopped this show before).

At first I was struck by her "Okay, now you've pissed me off" reaction to having the necklace taken, like having a room full of people robbed at gunpoint was somehow no big deal. And then when she went off on Weevil like that...yeah, it creeped me out. I'm trying to imagine the planet on which Weevil would participate in a robbery with someone with such a crap Hispanic accent, and...
I know Weevil was pissed at her dating Logan. It just seemed way too little to earn all that venom, when usually she's exactly the person testing the assumptions that the police make.
In my opinion, it feels like Veronica fought the Master over the summer and now she's all bitca but without the sexy Xander dance. Something just seems off with her. I almost wonder if KB isn't having fun with the role anymore, because it seems like her emotions never reach her eyes, and the body language doesn't always seem to reflect what comes out of her mouth/head.
At some point I need to do a rewatch, but I'm having a hard time intently focusing on the show. Of course I am having that difficulty with almost all of my favorite shows this year, so it could just be me.
I think Wallace's situation could go either way, although I'm leaning towards a confession more than getting caught. He doesn't strike me as being the kind to take the easy way out as a matter of course.

Basketball scholarship? More time on the court? I don't know. It seems to me that teammate is important to the story, otherwise why not have Piz or someone we know, or multiple things keeping Wallace from his studies?

Yeah. That's the part that bothered me. I could accept it only because the necklace was important enough to her that I could chalk it up to her being irrational, and even then...It was the scene Vonnie cited that got me over it, but I did think it felt off to have V so strongly suspect Weevil. I didn't mind her reaction to the robbery (I mean it didn't feel off) itself, because Veronica's pretty self-involved.
I did love when she ripped the necklace off the kid, though.

LOVE THIS!

I'm trying to forget about meta stuff, because otherwise my mind goes to the same place, d.

Oh. Damn my channel-changing fingers!
I think a lot of people have been weird, this season. Logan being nice and subdued freaks me out almost as much as bitchy Veronica. If not for sweet, sweet Cliff, I might have thought I was watching a different show!
(I'm a total voice queen.)
Well, Veronica did have the evidence of the same height and build, dry wall dust, and same cologne. Also, the last time Veronica accused Weevil of stealing something, he had (the money from the carnival) so it's not like she was completely off-base. That said, I think she owed Weevil more benefit of the doubt than she gave him.

I agree. At the Carnival, it wasn't Veronica he was stealing from/roughing up. She should have known better than to think he would do that to her.
