In my opinion, it feels like Veronica fought the Master over the summer and now she's all bitca but without the sexy Xander dance. Something just seems off with her. I almost wonder if KB isn't having fun with the role anymore, because it seems like her emotions never reach her eyes, and the body language doesn't always seem to reflect what comes out of her mouth/head.
At some point I need to do a rewatch, but I'm having a hard time intently focusing on the show. Of course I am having that difficulty with almost all of my favorite shows this year, so it could just be me.
I think Wallace's situation could go either way, although I'm leaning towards a confession more than getting caught. He doesn't strike me as being the kind to take the easy way out as a matter of course.
I don't get this at all. What's the motive? Also, it seems overly convoluted (though that's never stopped this show before).
Basketball scholarship? More time on the court? I don't know. It seems to me that teammate is important to the story, otherwise why not have Piz or someone we know, or multiple things keeping Wallace from his studies?
I'm trying to imagine the planet on which Weevil would participate in a robbery with someone with such a crap Hispanic accent, and...
Yeah. That's the part that bothered me. I could accept it only because the necklace was important enough to her that I could chalk it up to her being irrational, and even then...It was the scene Vonnie cited that got me over it, but I did think it felt off to have V so strongly suspect Weevil. I didn't mind her reaction to the robbery (I mean it didn't feel off) itself, because Veronica's pretty self-involved.
I did love when she ripped the necklace off the kid, though.

LOVE THIS!

I'm trying to forget about meta stuff, because otherwise my mind goes to the same place, d.
Nutty, Wallace went back and bought the answers.
Oh. Damn my channel-changing fingers!
I think a lot of people have been weird, this season. Logan being nice and subdued freaks me out almost as much as bitchy Veronica. If not for sweet, sweet Cliff, I might have thought I was watching a different show!
(I'm a total voice queen.)
Well, Veronica did have the evidence of the same height and build, dry wall dust, and same cologne. Also, the last time Veronica accused Weevil of stealing something, he had (the money from the carnival) so it's not like she was completely off-base. That said, I think she owed Weevil more benefit of the doubt than she gave him.

I agree. At the Carnival, it wasn't Veronica he was stealing from/roughing up. She should have known better than to think he would do that to her.
The Jimmy Carter Mask guy who actually grabbed Veronica couldn't have been Weevil, anyhow. He was too tall. The Nixon one could have been.
For a moment, during the robbery, I wanted it to be Weevil and Logan.

YES! That totally bugged me that she not only thought Weevil was involved but that she seemed to think he was the one who stole her necklace. He was WAY too tall!
I assumed she was referring to the "silent partner" as being Weevil.
But during the initial robbery, like Cindy, I also momentarily wondered if it was Logan and Weevil.

I don't think it was a crap Hispanic accent so much as a brilliant imitation of Pacino's crap Hispanic accent in
Scarface
(which is why Veronica later quotes "Say hello to my little friend" back to the robber/security guy).
