It does make you want to see more of Weevil and Keith fighting crime, doesn't it?
Yes, this. I suppose that the writers were busy enough with Veronica being a detective and Keith being a detective to make Weevil one, too. But I would have liked a chance to get bored with the storyline before they ended it.
Oh, and on non L/V subjects, can i just say that I REALLY liked the dean? Total asshat, but a very amusing total asshat! I hope we see a lot of him.
ita and sj seemed to fall somewhere in the middle.
My reaction to what he said is beside my point--I'm just putting out what seems to be the simplest reason he might have said it. All the motivations seem over-complex to me.

He's no Clemmons.
But few are.
I do like that the very first time we see him, he threatens to expel Veronica. This should be fun.
I like Gris's explanation.
I would have liked to see a longer arc for Weevil in the Mars agency, but I understand they probably don't have the luxury of time with the part-time characters.

I'm with you there! I was so excited to see Weevil working at Mars Investigations. I was wondering how he'd be utilised this season considering his final scene in the second season, and I thought having him work at MI was awesome and would make for a great story arc. I was sad to see him leave MI so soon. I still hope he'll have an actual story arc this year and not just be randomly around campus.
So, you don't think that the Dean is the rapist?
(Where did I read that theory? Here?)
The only thing I don't understand about Veronica's actions is why she is dating an asshat in the first place.
Did you not see Cindy's link with the hands in the pants? He's not so much an asshat as he is a guy. I've seen worse and I've seen better. He's not evil. He's impulsive. He can be selfish. He can be thoughtless. He was abused as a child and he developed coping mechanisms that may not be useful in healthy relationships.
None of this excuses him being a doofus and hurting his girlfriend's feelings.
I think they can work as a couple but they have things to work out, obviously.
Personally, I like Cindy's idea of him and Mac.
I could never understand why he didn't ever have a girl friend (or various girls here and there) during the first two seasons.
Um, *coughlillycough*
Well, that's a new one.
i've seen it somewhere, but i don't remember where. i think people are grasping for way out there suspects because that's pretty much been the case for the "big" mysteries each season.
that is to say, it wouldn't surprise me if RT and co did this.
