Because books.

I was just bemused because we'd been discussing the Stanford Experiment in another thread recently.

Exactly!

So how did Keith get the paperwork for it?

That was my BIG WTF for this ep.

The painting and the whole Liam/Cormac/Kendall is still a huge question mark for me. Granted, I walked away for a minute when Cormac and Liam were in the desert, but I still don't get how Kendall got the painting, what she wanted done with it, when exactly Keith took it to the museum...

I'm sure I *should* be able to follow the threads, but the thing is I don't care. I care about Keith, but the rest of them? Not at all.

There were a lot of great moments last night, but I'm beginning to feel like RT played his best hand in S1. Nothing is ever going to seem as compelling and tragic as a young girl's murder, and how that rips apart the Mars family. I at least want more Keith and Veronica, and I want more Logan and Veronica. The other stuff? Is kind of not doing it for me. Yet.

Art Crawl!!!

Huh. I got enough explanation in last night's episode to get the Keith storyline.

To understand what happened at the diner, we shall use Mr. Papaya! This is upsetting because he's the friendliest of fruits.

Huh. I got enough explanation in last night's episode to get the Keith storyline.

Right there with you.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Huh. I got enough explanation in last night's episode to get the Keith storyline.

My big problem wasn't the picture itself, but how, even with the paperwork, Keith would be given a picture that should have been police evidence (due to the blood on it) so quickly.

Also, given that we still haven't seen the body, I still have doubts about whether Kendall is really dead. That may just be residual CC affection talking. Relatedly, I know they showed Liam about to pull the trigger, but did they actually show him pulling the trigger, or did they just cut to Keith hearing the shots, becuase if it was the latter, it might have been Liam getting shot by Kendall.

Basically I just get suspicious when they don't show the deed or the body (Kendall much more so than Cormac, though).

Also, I can't none of the Logan fans here has gone on about Streaking!Logan. It's like I don't know you people any more.

Because books.

when I try to imagine seeing it through the eyes of a new viewer, I decide it hasn't done anything to pull me in.

Yes, this. In some ways, I feel like a new viewer -- I didn't rewatch S2 over the summer, and I have the memory of a gnat, so a lot of the Kendall stuff is completely gone for me. That storyline seems like it would be really unfathomable to a new viewer.

And if I had walked in with the S3 premiere ... I don't know. Last week we got that Logan and Veronica are involved and have great sex. This week we got pretty much nothing, between them. And there was no explanation of Dick showing up at Logan's last night, was there?

Don't get me wrong -- I loved the Wallace/Logan stuff, and I always love Veronica playing a role, but some of the details last night seemed iffy to me. For one, the den mom growing pot to deal with chemo? Kind of trite. And would she really grow *that* much for her own personal use? She'd have to be stoned all the time. (I mean, I've never grown it, so I don't know for sure, but that looked like a *lot* of weed to me for one person.)

I hate feeling nitpicky. But I was so in love with S1 and S2, and I'm a little underwhelmed. The rape story is interesting, but it's not personal to Veronica, you know? (Except in an echoey emotional way.)

Woe to the fucking wicked.

I really wish that they'd put Logan on the other side of the experiment. Given his history with Aaron, he's already got the coping strategies for the experiment. I'd much rather see him put (albeit briefly) on the side of the dynamic with power. Because the question of "would Logan do that" is actually an interesting one, whereas nsm for Wallace. Wallace's solution, in principle, if not in specifics, was pretty predictable for me.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Keith would be given a picture that should have been police evidence (due to the blood on it)

The blood was on the frame/glass. The cop was removing the frame itself to bag and left the painting.

I do believe in killing the messenger, you know why? Because it sends a message. ~ Damon Salvatore

(due to the blood on it)

the police removed the picture from some kind of plastic frame. the blood was on the plastic part. there would be no reason for them to confiscate the picture.

i'm kind of feeling like i did with Buffy at the end in that the fandom is sucking my enjoyment out of the show.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

i'm kind of feeling like i did with Buffy at the end in that the fandom is sucking my enjoyment out of the show.

I'm sorry if my comments on the show are causing this. I will likely not be commenting further on VM episodes, I certainly don't want to bring people down with my personal problems with watching the show.
