Oh, I can probably think of cases where it might be okay again. VM's not one of them, though.

Not for several years, unless with great irony.
So was the VM season only 22 episodes? We just had episode 18, and I'm having a hard time seeing how it all gets resolved.
Yeap, there are only 22 episodes in season 1. As you can imagine, the episodes 19-22 were hella rollercoaster ride.
Most storylines get resolved, but not all of them. I think the writers did a fine job wrapping things up without them coming across as an asspull, but I know there was a sizable minority of fans who were unhappy with the resolution of the arc.
So far, it's been working for me. I'm semi-spoiled, but most episode are a surprise.

I was semi-unhappy with the resolution of the murder, but i didn't think it was an ass-pull so much as RT just changing his mind.
He says he didn't. In fact, he said if spoilers got out about the killer, he was going to change it to Duncan. (Whitefonting for Sue.)
sorry, but i can't see it. did he or did he not give an interview at the beginning of the season saying that if we watched the pilot we would have all the answers we would need to name the killer. couple with that the fact that logan was NOT supposed to be a full time cast member and it just doesn't add up. (also whitefonting to save those who haven't seen the whole season.)
I was shocked to find someone on my flist today that just saw WoCD and had not been spoiled for the KISS!!

Heh. That interview. I am having a sinking suspicion that interview doesn't exist. Because I can't find the actual interview anywhere, just people reporting that they read somewhere that he said that.
Rob told the cast the identity of the killer when they were filming the second episode. (And that's an interview I did read for myself.)

I know for a fact that the cast gave interviews towards the end of the season saying they were all trying to figure out who it was and only Kristen had figured it out.
