I finally got to watch the episode. Such a great episode, and so dense. Lots happening. The only quibble I have is the Lamb woobifying. I knew it was coming, seeing as how the audience seem to be doing it regardless, but still. Why can't an asshole just be an asshole?

Because books.

groping Logan

This is where my mind got stuck. It's a nice place.

If I only had a brain...

But Lamb isn't necessarily woobified; he's just done the right thing for once.

If I only had a brain...

The wanting-to-pay-attention-to-the-movie is a bad sign, I think.

Yo-man. When you'd rather watch a movie you know by heart, that's pretty boring sex.

But Lamb isn't necessarily woobified;

But his daddy was mean to him when he was a kid! He's totally just acting out! Okay, I know the show is far more sophisticated with its character development than this. Really I'm just waiting to see if they take it any further. Also, I want my Wallace back.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

Lamb's past is not meant to make him sympathetic or justified; I think it just goes along with the noir. Everyone has their dirty little secrets, their closet full of composition books.

Nothing I have seen from D/V this season matches up to the making-out-in-the-backseat dreams they both were having last season (no idea what episode it's from) which actually did make Duncan look like he could handle things in the let's-get-it-on department.

Frankly, that applies to my entire D/V experience: they had more chemistry in season one.

I do think that is kind of on purpose, though.

ETA: I have a bit of Lamb woobification fear as well. I want him to be a straight up bad guy. I'm holding out hope that as bon noted: this is just adding to his noir-ish layers.

If I only had a brain...

Yup. They more than hinted last week that Duncan had been much closer to his previous girlfriend than he was to Veronica.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

I'm not so sure Lamb was woobified, either. What we really got was a tiny glimpse that he's not so 2-dimensional, after all. And it was really well done, IMO. Props to the actor who plays Lamb.

Although, possibly Duncan's felicitous meeting with Kendall will teach him a thing or two.

I'd like to see Duncan suddenly become a sex machine (courtesy of Kendall) and *that* be what finally pings Veronica's suspicions.

Kiss me, my girl, before I'm sick.

When you'd rather watch a movie you know by heart, that's pretty boring sex.

But! It's the Dude! From where I stand, the sex would have to be pretty spectacular to top The Big Lebowski.

Or possibly that's a really sad commentary on my sex life. Err, carry on.
