The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

Several times, snipers have fired on a hospital, preventing it from being evacuated

I don't get why people would do this. Also, this is one of the rare cases where I would be in favor of the Nat. Guard or some such going in and terminating with extreme prejudice.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

You can see the rover's robotic arm in the foreground.

And that's the BEST part of the whole rover!

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Also, this is one of the rare cases where I would be in favor of the Nat. Guard or some such going in and terminating with extreme prejudice.

Me, too.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

The only thing I can think is that it's a nutter with a gun.

I guess. They do exist, even sans hurricane or other natural disaster.

Silence means security silence means approval

Let me rephrase what I said earlier.

This is motherfucking bullshit.

We are the largest, most powerful, richest country in the world. We whip out cock out and the rest of the room gets out of the way.

And yet, we can't even do simple things like get relief supplies into NOLA.

People were all "this isn't anything like the tsunami." Absolutely. The relief process was actually organized for the tsunami.

This. Is. Grand. Mother. Fucking. Bull. Shit.

I have been parentally disappointed with my country many times in my nearly 33 years on this planet. This is the first time I have been ashamed to be an American. And I mean that. I am fucking ashamed to be an American.

FUCK.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Yeah, what's this all about? I'm well aware I'm coming from a position of privilege here, but I. Don't. Get. It.

This is exactly where I am. I get a certain amount of looting and chaos, but the deliberate evil that seems to be going down has me boggled.

I know New Orleans had the highest murder rate in the country not all that long ago (it may still have; I haven't seen stats recently), but, even so, this is just crazy.

I've been avoiding the news like the plague - I watched WAY too much after 9-11 and I just can't do that again.

Now tagless for your comfort.

I think Bush spent more time talking about relieving the gas supply. WHILE PEOPLE ARE DROPPING DEAD IN NO.

I'm sick now. I need to stop.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Several times, snipers have fired on a hospital, preventing it from being evacuated

Who the hell does this? I can see some looting, especially for things like food. But what could anyone possibly gain by shooting at folks who are trying to evacuate a hospital? What the fuck?

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Also, this is one of the rare cases where I would be in favor of the Nat. Guard or some such going in and terminating with extreme prejudice.

Me, too.

Me, three, except the Louisiana Nat Guard is mostly in Iraq right now.

Fuck fuck fuck. I wish I lived closer - I almost want to hop a plane for Texas and just stay a week donating my time. I gave my little bit to the Red Cross, but it won't last long; if I were there, I could do... fuck if I even know. Fold blankets, pitch tents, make sandwiches. Something.

This guy is giving looters a bad name, I tell you what.
