Aw, I love Sea Lions. I feel bad about the cute Sea Lion Shows because it seems so undignified....

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

I've only had bait fish down my cleavage.

Squirrel.

One of the very tame squirrels on my college campus was jumping from a tree to a trash can. I was in between and the squirrel misjudged. The squirrel scrabbled back out of my scoop-neck top, leaving scratches on my chest, and ran away.

Now see, y'all are making me feel much better about the bird in my cleavage. And Ginger, ouch!

Aw, I love Sea Lions

You guys should shoot for the bait dock sometime then. It's over near Fisherman's Village. There's one or two always swimming around there. We've seen a couple come all the way up the channel chasing fish (and playing with thier food... one was right next to the boat, tossing a fish up in the air for the longest time. The kids got pictures)

Yeah, we paddled back past Fisherman's Village. Yep. There were two sea lions over there.

I love 'em.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Having things scurry down cleavage is the the anti-rubber chicken on your head...

Dawn, here's the squiggly version of where we paddled around: [link] Squiggly on account of poor mousing skills.

Cass, heee!

I'm finally able to leave. I'm into OT by an hour since the conference call I came in early for was cancelled. Unfortunatley, I won't get paid the OT. I'm thinking a long lunch some day this week is in order.

See youse all later

ETA: Wow! lori, you guys did a lot - I would have dropped from exhaustion paddling that far. (We're a right U turn from Mother's Beach)

It's a tandem kayak, so we each really only paddled half that far? Har. See you next time!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I know I've already told my story of being traumatized by goats as a child, because no one told me not to put the food in my shorts pocket before I went into the petting zoo thinger.

What is even happening?

Aw, I love Sea Lions. I feel bad about the cute Sea Lion Shows because it seems so undignified....

Zoos make me feel this way. I know there are a lot of Buffistas who love animals more than I do, and know a lot more about animals than I ever will, who love zoos. But they just make me feel badly. I know there's an educational trade-off, and that we learn things to help protect species, but seeing the big cats behind fences, and the apes in cages just feels so wrong to me. It feels like exploitation.
