Inara: I think she looks adorable. Mal: Yeah, but I never said it.

It's a tandem kayak, so we each really only paddled half that far? Har. See you next time!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I know I've already told my story of being traumatized by goats as a child, because no one told me not to put the food in my shorts pocket before I went into the petting zoo thinger.

What is even happening?

Aw, I love Sea Lions. I feel bad about the cute Sea Lion Shows because it seems so undignified....

Zoos make me feel this way. I know there are a lot of Buffistas who love animals more than I do, and know a lot more about animals than I ever will, who love zoos. But they just make me feel badly. I know there's an educational trade-off, and that we learn things to help protect species, but seeing the big cats behind fences, and the apes in cages just feels so wrong to me. It feels like exploitation.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I had a cockroach run down my nightie once.

THAT IS NOT CUTE!

Bird in cleavage, cute.

Goat in pants, cute.

Squirrels in cleavage, cute.

Bait fish, I'll take a pass.

ROACHES ARE NEVER CUTE.

My god, woman, what kind of sicko are you?

As a story, I mean. I already said it was traumatic, but as a story, it's all three-billy-goats-gruff.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

Wasn't there a musical with singing dancing cockroaches?

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Squirrel.

Updates Ginger's special Injuries & Incidents file with many exclamation points and interrobangs and much underlining.

Today I suddenly wanted custom plates reading "OMGWTF." Or maybe "WTFBBQ." It was a startling impulse.

I have recently seed Quidditch plates, but I can't remember how they were spelt. Involved a "W." And "HIJK MNO" which I'm torn on -- twee? Charming? Cute? Too clever? I suppose it all depends on the name of the owner.
