I'd just like to be sure I'm right about being sure.
We can narrow it down to being sure you're right about being sure. First of all, he had a warning, and then posted no more. That pretty clearly indicates they evacuated, or he would have posted more. If they evacuated, they would have had him clear the area. On top of that, no actual bombs have gone off, right?
Nope, nothing's gone off.
And really, I'd be shocked if there were an actual bomb at all. It's quarter to 5 on a Friday in the middle of summer -- it's like Senior Cut Day for grown-ups. Even before they evacuated, the buildings would've been practically empty by 2:00 anyhow.
Does anyone know about MBNA debt consolidation programs? Our considerable credit card debt is all on two cards, and one has a rate of 24% (the other one is much more reasonable), which means we will pay it off approximately NEVER. Has there been any publicity about the program? It looks good, but I don't want them to get all our debt in one place and then to jack the rate to make it more than we are now paying if you average out both cards. Any other debt consolidation programs for non-homeowners (Including applying to a lower interest-rate card) anyone know about?
I'd read the fine print carefully Robin. They all use any excuse to dump the promo rate and charge crazy rates. I had a Discover card that had a zero rate until I neglected to make 2 purchases a month.
Just got home from watching Fantastic Four stuff with the kids. Was fun.
I hate when people use their cell as their primary phone and I want to just leave a message and not have it ring RIGHT THERE, especially when I know they can't answer, but don't know if the ringer is off.
Or something.
Sorry to worry anybody. Nothing went off. My "Hmphh" was merely annoyance as I thought there was little credibility to the bomb scare. Though admittedly, I work across the street from the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francicsco (which has about 1 billion dollars in cash in the basement) and 101 California (nearby) was the scene of an infamous (in SF anyway) shooting spree.

This is what text messaging is for.

I haven't text messaged in FOREVER. Huh.
Frankly, I rarely text, unless I am going to send a picture too. It takes me too long.
My PDA has an SMS option. Now I want to try it. Can you text across providers?
