We didn't have sex, if that's what you mean. That's all I do now, not have sex.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Sorry about your brother, bt. If it's any consolation, just when I thought my brother had reached rock bottom and started to dig, he did manage to get his act together a little bit and seems to be stable and doing well. I hope yours can do the same. For his own sake, if nothing else.

And yay on the speed dating.

{{{meara}}} I hope you're feeling better soon.

With *my* family, you have NO idea.

Mine, too.

But not nearly as versatile. I say, pack the tequila.

I call Brenda for my survival buddy.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Oh dear. He really is a piece of work.

Yeah. I think the general reaction from people that are not him is just a weary lack of surprise on this, it just seemed so obvious it was coming. As you will have noted, it hasn't done much to dent my mood. (Frankly, D seems happy enough, his own dating is going well, and that's my primary concern where Gareth's concerned.)

That would be nice. We'll see, depending on how he reacts, a shock like this could conceivably make things either better or worse. I declare him to be Schrödinger's Gareth, further updates as warranted.

What is even happening?

Hmm. I do not have the liquid tylenol. I do have some kind of weird anasthetic-benadryl-mylanta mixture that the doctor prescribed, but it doesn't seem terribly effective. For that matter, neither was the vicodin I tried a few hours ago, just to see. HMPH! Managed to swallow a little soup. Still feeling too bleah to get dressed and leave the house, even if just to walk out to the car and get stuff.

Oh, baby. I think Vicodin has aceta...aceto... shares the active ingredient in Tylenol, so don't cross dose with these two. It's ridiculously easy to get a toxic amount of the active ingredient in Tylenol. Maybe Advil? Do you have any in the house? You should not go out. You're too sick. I hope the anti-biotic kicks in quickly.

Oh, that reminds me. When I called up D, I learned that Gareth had been arested again. New offence, D seems to think he's probably used up all his lives on this one. He'll likely wind up fully incarcerated for a while now.
Oh, as usual, dear. I'm sorry he has to go through this the hard way, and take your dad, you, and the rest of your family somewhat along for the ride, at least emotionally.

Yay for the speed dating. I can't imagine women not ticking your box. And by ticking your box, I mean...well, I just actually meant ticking your box. The rest is up to you, young man. I'd recommend you start by correcting your gravely erroneous opinion on the serial comma. Your parents, God and Ayn Rand agree.

the hardest to learn / was the least complicated

meara, do you have Cepacol? That's supposed to numb your throat somewhat and make strep/sore throat/etc. a little less agonizing.

Perhaps what you need is an umfriend!

Heh. Working on that.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Umfriends! Umfriends for all!

Now tagless for your comfort.

I'm three minutes away from winning some cute Elmo toys on Ebay for Owen. If my bid doesn't get hijacked in the last few seconds.

See, for me this is the most compelling argument against the serial comma. Because it's easy to work out the actual meaning, and meanwhile it also makes possible one of the funniest COMMs ever.

Well, it'll be a nice little ego-boost if I get a number of matches. But I am starting to worry about juggling my schedule if too many say yes. And I'm booked into another speed dating event tomorrow night too. You know, one glaring error in those online dating sites is that under 'what sort of relationship are you looking for', they never provide the option 'Harem'.

Oh, I'm sure there are some sites like that out there somewhere.

The Elmo toys are ours!
