[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

the hardest to learn / was the least complicated

Also, I have just finished booking a hotel suite and rental car (using my Dad's credit card) for my brother's wedding. Shit, man. Five days with my family. Five days plus a WEDDING with my family. I'm flying with and sharing a hotel (hence the suite, not just 1 room) with my Dad for 3 days.

If it were a movie, this would be the trailer's intro: "Montpelier, Vermont: For Five Days in August, It Will Become HELL for One Family."

I expect to be back in therapy by the time I'm back in Ohio. I'm already twitching just thinking about 5 days with my family.

I wonder if I can stay drunk for 5 days?

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

I wonder if I can stay drunk for 5 days?

If you can sell it to FOX as a reality show, I think it would be obligatory.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

Fay, that's fantastic

blush

Meanwhile! I am currently twirling my moustache and enjoying my evil laugh, because apparently last night I managed to slip in, without anyone noticing, that I went speed dating.

Wahey! Sounds like you had a blast, love.

...and what do you have against the serial comma? It clarifies things! Clearly it is a force for Good!

With *my* family, you have NO idea. A family full of prodigious drinkers who clearly need vast lashings of therapy; a stepdad in the mix who also drinks, possibly more than our family, and feels uncomfortable spending the weekend with my dad; a planned "guys' night out," bringing together bro, Dad, stepdad, bro's future FiL, and bro's hard-drinking buddies; Momzilla, who will likely upstage the bride; AND one very tense Teppy.

My bro still smokes pot on a daily basis. I think this might be the trip for me to take up the habit.

So insteading of I dos, they'll be exchanging 'I Duuuude's?

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

As long as it's got a reasonable alcohol content, something like gin or vodka will work just fine. But, pure alcohol is an effective way to go too.

But not nearly as versatile. I say, pack the tequila.

Oh, that reminds me. When I called up D, I learned that Gareth had been arested again. New offence, D seems to think he's probably used up all his lives on this one. He'll likely wind up fully incarcerated for a while now.

Right! Just remember when sharing it out, to leave a slug for the snake.

Hmm. I do not have the liquid tylenol. I do have some kind of weird anasthetic-benadryl-mylanta mixture that the doctor prescribed, but it doesn't seem terribly effective. For that matter, neither was the vicodin I tried a few hours ago, just to see. HMPH! Managed to swallow a little soup. Still feeling too bleah to get dressed and leave the house, even if just to walk out to the car and get stuff.

Yay speed dating, yay Fay (who is adorable, and deserves plenty of action), good luck to Teppy! I'm actually...flying to Chicago in a few weeks for my umfriend's brother's wedding, as she is afeared of similar family drama as you, Tep. Perhaps what you need is an umfriend!

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Gareth had been arested again

Oh dear. He really is a piece of work.
