It's good to have cargo. Makes us a target for every other scavenger out there, though, but sometimes that's fun too.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Next up, I can pay 20% of the premium for an HMO, or 10% for a PPO. No vision included in the PPO, but how big a deal is that really and...oi. Maybe I can make myself just not think about any of that for another week.

If you end up going that route, the dental thing I linked includes vision.

Up with the sun

Maybe I'm just cold-hearted, but the penguin movie seemed really long to me for a movie about ... penguins.

I understand each of the words individually, but together they make no sense.

Yeah, I know. Perhaps my heart is just two sizes too small.

My Very Handsome Son and the Little Wooden Boy of Love

He is getting so big, and I don't think I've seen him with long hair before.

Always Anti-fascist!

Huh. I love how suede feels.(But we don't have to go into my leather thing again!) My brother did just tell me he bought a leather couch and I thought if I had one, I'd never leave the house again.(I didn't tell him! He already thinks I have 'sodes.) I...uh, wouldn't treat a cat like that though. And not to worry, Hec. Better life first, then, maybe, if there's room for the both of us, a black leather couch. Although if things play out right, I may not want it anymore.

"You see? THAT's what they want. Love, and a bit with a dog."

If you end up going that route, the dental thing I linked includes vision.

Makes out with brenda.

Erm...excuse me....I don't know what happened there....

Trust my rage

and I do believe I managed to convince her that I'm not an axe murderer. It was a lovely time.

Awww, I was never worried.

Ellie and I also had a wonderful time walking with juliana. I love the lakes in Minneapolis - a nice feature for a big city. Also, we had wonderful ice cream (raspberry chocolate chip for me) while we walked. Great company plus ice cream always makes for a good evening.

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

I am actually giving serious consideration to approaching my Evil Former Employer and seeing whether he can give me a reason to return to teach at the Evil School.

With the usual caveats about being thousands of miles away and not really understanding all the circumstances, my gut reaction to this is to run screaming toward you, crying, "Eek! No! Don't do it!"

Yes, very much this.

Hey, VW, I'm excited about the idea of a cookbook and can't wait to see what people submit. But I have a question, should we NOT use recipes that are in printed cookbooks? I ask because when my PTA did a cookbook fundraiser they told us not to submit recipes direct from cookbooks because of copyright. Please advise.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

So, if an employer doesn't pay any of the premium, do folks think it is worth getting dental insurance? I actually have to be at the dentist a lot (soft teeth, lots of cavities. Curses!), but it seems like insurance never pays for very much of what I have to get done.

Most people I know don't bother. The person hat can figure it out best - the person behind the counter at your dentist office. That's how the people I know that have dropped thier dental insurance figured it out.

I know the teaching part was godd - but that was a really eveil boss. Did he even pay you exactly what you were owed? If you go back , he will do it again. Even if you don't teach this year - is you new employer garunteeing they will hire you next year? Then I would guess you are ok. Find out what setting up means. If it means being invovled in choseing books for the classroom or library - you are doing important stuff for the classroom - and it counts.

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

I bet Emmett is breaking hearts already. What a cutie! I always loved boys with long hair.

My Big Gay Event was a bust. The club was entirely too crowded and the staff was rude as hell. We left before the band even started. (FTR, I wore the black criss-cross cleavage shirt and platform sandals.)
