Buffy: I was regrouping. Spike: You were about to be regrouped into separate piles.

'Potential'

The Minearverse 4: Support Group for Clumsy People

[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls and The Inside), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

See, I think it's part Amazing Race, part North by Northwest, and part Cannonball Run.

Embrace the idea that we are the leaders we've been looking for. Grace Lee Boggs

It sounds like Cannonball Run wasn't far off. Although, I would imagine this might be a little bit darker. Maybe.

Of course, xposty goodness. Oh, well.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

I dredged up the title of Cannonball Run as soon as I posted. It's a sign of my great love for Tim that I'm willing to IMDB Cannonball Run for him. Even if the frakking database told me that I was wrong and it was actually the 80s...

ps: Hec, how can you forget to mention Roger Moore?

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Cannonball Run was Jackie Chan's first English language film.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

A dramatic series set against an illegal cross-country road race and its players and origins.

Sounds familiar . . .

Wasn't that a movie in the 70s?

I'm telling you, it's Cannonball Run. Burt Reynolds, Dom Deluise and wacky highjinks.

Nope, I'm thinking Death Race 2000

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

The Gumball Rally was 1976.

Raul Julia as Franco Bertollini: "And now my friend, the first rule of Italian driving." ::rips off his rear view mirror and throws it out of the car:: "What's behind me is not important."

The Cannonball Run was 1981. Not as good, IMHO.

edited for spelling

I was thinking Vanishing Point which is one of those great movies that needs to be watched at 2am in the morning.

If I only had a brain...

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

the plot summary of Death Race 2000:

In the near future the ultimate sporting event is the deathrace. Contestants get score points for running people down as they speed across the country.

c'mon! it's totally Tim! Lots of death!

Hey. New board.

I would just like to say that Death Race 2000 was one of the funniest terrible movies I've ever seen.

Gruesome death! Sylvester Stallone! That guy from Kill Bill (and eight trillion bad movies, apparently, I am so uncultured)! Breasts!

It's got it all.
