Overwhelming? How much more than whelming would that be exactly?

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Yeah, God probably didn't put Allyson's magic in her spleen. Unless He was drunk that day.

eta: Can God make booze so powerful that even He could not avoid getting wasted?

If I only had a brain...

There is probably some mystical sect that believes in a drunken Creator. It would explain a lot.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Like the platypus, for instance.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

What a bizarre story. [link] I don't remember hearing about that at the time.

Tim has me trying to remember the motives behind the assassinations/attempts. I'm thinking probably 1/2 are loonies with little or no political reason.

I do believe in killing the messenger, you know why? Because it sends a message. ~ Damon Salvatore

Paul Winchell did the voice of the beagle, Fleegle, on "The Banana Splits."

he also did the voice for tigger.

ION this thread was a fount of useless trivia. i like.

What is even happening?

You're all crazy, and I am earwormed with the theme song from The Banana Splitz.

There is probably some mystical sect that believes in a drunken Creator. It would explain a lot.

Well, not a creator, but there are the Dionysus/Bacchus/Liber adherents.

Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who matter don't mind and those who mind don't matter.

Creepy link, Aurelia. I don't remember that story getting much attention at the time either, though I suspect that the tin foil hat crowd probably have files on it.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I'd like to point out that Betsy missed a prime opportunity to quote "Assassins."

"You know why I did it? Because there isn't any Santa Claus!"

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

My favorite Banana Splits had one of the girls (they were some kind of gang, weren't they?)

Yep, The Sour Grape Bunch. We had a piece on them in the book.

Paul Winchell and the artificial heart is as oddly pleasing as Hedy Lamarr and the radiotelemetry/sonar doohickey.

The wonderful thing about Tiggers
Is the cardiocyber parts
The tops are made of the rubber
the bottom is spring loaded hearts

If I only had a brain...

Yeah, I was off watching *The Amazing Race* during prime assassin-discussing time. Sob!
