I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

It's way too early for me to be worrying about Father's Day. I've got my brother's birthday, which I already missed, and my parents' anniversary before then. I normally don't make too big a deal out of the 'rents anniversaries, but they had their 40th last year and neither my mom nor I can remember what I got them, so I feel like I should get them something this year.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

Okay, ticket purchased, very exciting.

Just remember not to step on any monkeys.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I just found a really cute handbag with a long strap at the Marshalls downstairs in my building! After several months of intermittently checking their offerings and finding nothing but ugly handbags with long straps or cute handbags with ridiculously short straps.

(Not to mention ugly handbags with ridiculously short straps, which seem to breed like rabbits this year....)

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Apparently the big worry is being held up at shitpoint. But what a story for krav that would make! It's not like we don't already use the term "oh shit defense."

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I have not only a card but ALSO a small tchotchke for my father, which is more than enough. Also cards for the family birthdays we're celebrating this weekend.

I just ate a blue Fla-Vor-Ice that was so big, it was almost Too Much. And for only fifty cents!

I have a gift certificate for dad (never underestimate the joy of choosing your own gift) that is being mailed form Cabela's directly to him. Gotta go get a card.

You know, my mother's only getting a book for her birthday (right about the same time). Maybe I should not try to fill his entire DVD library in one shot. Besides, I need to get it in the mail stat, if it's to reach in time.

What'd you give your mother for mother's day? That should be the comparison to make.

A phone call. It usually ends up that they get Christmas gifts, and mother gets a birthday present, and daddy gets a Father's Day gift. Occasioning just the two gift-buying occasions a year, because we're far away and it involves shipping and them having to pay duty when they pick stuff up at the post office.

Okay, why does Robinson's May appear to not sell dresses online? Are they some sort of fascist organisation? They have a shorts section, fer crying out loud!

Erinaceous should write a letter.

Ah, that makes sense, then. Carry on.
