There were scenarios in which I'd have stayed out later, but really -- I was chilly, and I see these people
all
the time. It was a good party, and I'd been there for over three hours at that point. The street clothes novelty wasn't enough to keep me, plus if I woke up at ass o'clock in the morning, I could have buttermilk pancakes way ahead of having to teach.
I really like buttermilk pancakes.
Aw, thanks, sara.
Stop trying to justify, ita -- you're just old and cranky.
OK, off to the air conditioned bedroom for reals.
I really like buttermilk pancakes.
I've got a good recipe from that. My erstwhile neighbor used to work at Zazie and nabbed it for me before she left.
I've got a good recipe from that.
So, apparently, have I. It's a little random with the consistency, but as long as I pay attention and don't let them overbrown -- let's just say I'll be buying much more maple syrup next Canada visit.
You crazy, get-up-early-to-fix-breakfast types. FREAKS.
Well, I was already up anyway. Might as well get something tastyuseful done.
I'm home! Did you miss me?
But I swear I never saw a Tim Horton's in Vancouver.
There is one in the airport, and I know I saw others.
The first time my mother called today, she left a message saying "I hear you guys had an earthquake!"
The second time was to tell me they'd just had one.
If there's an earthquake in South London, I apologise to everyone affected on behalf of my accursed family.
I have too much stuff waiting for me on my tivo. I think I may be too tired to do the Inside justice right now.
What else was good last week/this weekend?
